Obituary of Kimberly Marie LICKMAN
Kim Lickman was born on December 7th, 1970 and spent her childhood growing up in Hamilton, Ontario. She then made her way to Calgary in her early teens. Even though Calgary sports team pride runs strong throughout the city, she would never convert and the dominance of Ti-Cat pride remained strong in her blood.
As time went on, Kim met Jeff Wallace and together they brought their beautiful daughter, Amanda into the world. Kim loved being a mother but also never forgot how to still let loose and have a little fun with life. Four years later, Kim had a handsome baby boy, Justin, who came into this world kicking and screaming.
The mother of two, worked as an administrative assistant for many, many years, while still remaining to dedicate all her free time to her family and friends who all meant the world to her. Kim also loved to spend her time with her fur babies, Shelby and Fritzy.
Kim blessed us with many fond memories that were created in some of her unforgettable favorite places. Weather it was stompers, shakers, camping, bear hunting, poker in the all mighty pool “That rarely got a day off” or some amazing backyard fires where your “bud” never ran low and all out delivery never failed to keep the fridge stocked and a fresh beer in hand without ever having to leave the comfort of her back yard lake retreat.
A few years passed, the kids started growing up and eventually flew the coup. Justin still resides in Calgary, and as for Amanda she ventured north to Edson, There she lives with Kim’s only grandson, Robert who was Kim’s pride and joy. She loved that baby to the moon and back and made sure everyone knew it too. Robert loved going to grandma’s house, where the gummy worms had a steady flow and how mom’s rules never seemed to be implemented while at grandma’s House.
As Kim’s world kept changing, she was finally was joined with her soul mate Tony. The two were destined for one other. They shared every moment together and enjoyed the very same things in life, even though Tony was quite a bit more reserved. They were truly each other’s soul mates inside and out. Tony also gave Kim the gift of becoming a step mother to two beautiful girls, Delane and Jaylene.
Amanda and Justin grew very fond of Tony with ease, and eventually considered him to be a father figure in many ways. Robert even started calling him Grandpa Tony.
On May 9th, 2015 while at home and at the very young age of 44, Kim had God pick her up and carry her off to heaven, where I’m sure he has bigger plans for her… or has already learned to take a few orders, as I’m sure Kim has laid out a few for him……. Now we are blessed to be left with fond memories and pictures to remember her by that will forever remain in all our minds and our hearts. The effect Kim had on every person she had met, weather she liked them or not, will for sure last a life time and will never be forgotten in the minds of us all.
Kim is now dancing among the stars… looking over all of us… and I’m sure ready and willing to kick our asses if step out of line.
Fly High mom, We will all be joined again one day and until we meet again I know we will forever have your support from up above.
A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 P.M. at the Dover Community Hall, 3133 – 30th ave S.E Calgary , AB.
