Obituary of Charles Lisle Chick FRANCIS
October 2, 1925 – Winnipeg, Manitoba
November 27, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta
Chick Francis passed away peacefully surrounded by Family on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at the age of 89 after a short battle with cancer.
Chick spent 25 years of his career as a watchmaker working for Sears Canada. He enjoyed a love of golfing and 10 pin bowling at the formerly named Silver dollar lanes, now known as Century Casino Bowling. Through all of these activities Chick made many friends who remained important to him.
He is survived by his wife Marie “Micki” Francis of Calgary, his 2 daughters, Caron Francis (Rodney Miller) of Calgary, Shelley Francis of Red Deer, as well as his son Terry Francis (Lisa) and grandson Carson all of Calgary. Chick is also survived by his sister, Muriel Battaglia of Winnipeg. Chick was predeceased by his father Arthur Lisle and mother Agnes “Aggie” both of Winnipeg.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Chick’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through .
