Obituary of William TANGUAY

William Tanguay of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the age of 91 years.

William was born in Montreal, QC on November 26, 1927 to William and Angelus Tanguay.  He moved to Calgary with his wife Yvette and son Bernard around 1957 where he fell in love with the mountains and made Calgary his home.

He trained with the Armed Forces as a young adult. William graduated from Loyola University in Montreal with a degree in Chemistry; which led to his developing his company at Metro Tech Systems Ltd.

He was an avid baseball fan and he was an active member of the St. Pius X Catholic community.

William is survived by his sons, Bernard and Franc; daughter Diane; granddaughters, Danielle (Simon), Robyn and Shawna; great-grandchildren, Kane, Asher and Sophie. He is also survived by his sister Anne Marie and brother Ron.  William was predeceased by his wife Yvette Tanguay.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church (2424 – 24th Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, November 26 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall.
