March 22, 2020 - Canmore Alberta
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Enid (Doris) Twoyoungmen on March 22, 2020 at the age of 87 years.
Enid is a survivor of the Residential School from the age of 6 to 16 years old (1938-48). She was also culturally inclined to the traditional Stoney Nakoda way of life and knew how to survive off cultural ways. This meant she loved to tan hide, and beadwork along with many other traditional daily activities. Enid was a full gospel believer for 65 years and assisted her late husband’s full gospel ministry for over 40 years. It was very important to Enid to spread the word of Jesus to the community. She also supported and stood by her late husband (Alvin Twoyoungmen) when he was appointed Chief of the Chiniki Band First Nations for 12 years. Her favourite past time was reading her bible and writing poems in her journal. Family gatherings meant everything to Enid and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss her dearly.
Enid is survived by her son, Darren (Laverna), two daughters, Margery (David) and Geraldine (Harvey); adopted daughter, Clasca; grandchildren, Roberta (Noble), Kelvin, Alden (Lacey), Blaine (Shantelle), Anne (Dakota), Geraldine (Tye), Sarah, and Tarren; great-grandchildren, Laura, Jiles, Jonas, Jacob, Kallie, Rashaud, Liam, Grayson, Octavia, Dakota, Emily, Mia, Jody, Luna, Keegan, Tylan, Kitanna, Knine; brothers, Clarence (Shirley) and Buddy (Vicky); sister, Lori-Ann; brother-in-law, Clifford; We apologize if we have missed anyone.Enid was predeceased by her husband Alvin Twoyoungmen; sisters, Emily, Lydia, Jennifer, Helene, and Marjorie; brothers, Ivan and Harold.
