Condolences
Hello Mary....We remember Tom well from Labrador. He was such a likeable person. Even today I think of him when I hear the song "Wooly Booly"! Mary, you lived across the street from us on Caribou Crescent; and I was friends with MaryJane and Karen! Only Karen was mentioned in the obituary so I am assuming that Maryjane has passed. My heart goes out to you and your family....and so glad that you had a lovely family together! It is so nice to hear from hear from people from Labrador, but so sad to hear that they have passed. Our condolences to all the family!
My heart goes out to all of you, Tom's family, in the loss of your wonderful husband and father. He was very appreciated at GCA with his kind and helpful ways, his sense of humour and the time he took to interact with his colleagues. Know that he left a legacy of joy at our school. May the Lord give you much peace and comfort in the days and months ahead, knowing that Tom is with his Saviour. With love and prayers, Margie Haase
Mary, Nick, and Barry: Myself and Shelley were very sad to hear of Tom's passing just a few days ago. Please accept our condolences. We both have fond memories of your visits here. Once in the winter when Tom brought cakes to the house daily, then we had to go snowshoeing to work off the calories. Another time when he went out in the boat and hauled lobster pots with us. I also have fond memories of Labrador City where we spent a lot of time together. He was a wonderful guy and a great brother-in-law. Rest in peace Tom.
Love Bernard and Shelley.
Dear Mary and Nick and Barry,
Arnie and I are deeply saddened to learn of Tom’s passing. We will always remember playing darts, East Coast vocabulary and ‘I’m from Smithers.’ Each brought humour to us personally and to our GCA colleagues. Especially during stinging sorrow we feel helpless but we are indeed blessed to never be hopeless. Our prayers will join others as you navigate the days ahead.
Cheryl & Arnie Miller
Mary/NIck/Barry: I was deeply saddened to learn that Tom recently passed away, at far too young an age. I have many fond memories when working with him several years ago. He was always a great to support to me and frrequently brought his sense of humour to the workplace. He often spoke so proudly of his sons and spouse. Mary, Nick, and Barry: May God give you His peace during this time, knowing that today Tom is with his Lord. Dale & Sharon Backlin
Mary, Nick and Barry: Isabelle and I are deeply saddened by the news of Tom's passing. However, we take comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the arms of our Lord Jesus. I enjoyed working with him at GCA. Tom was a kind and humorous person. He will be truly missed. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all. Philip and Isabelle
Dear Mary;
I was shocked to read of Tom's passing. I had the privilege of working with Tom for many years at GCA. I enjoyed his friendship, advice and his sense of humour. He was a remarkable man and I will miss him and his laugh. He spoke of you often at work and he was always proud of his two sons and their accomplishments. My deepest condolences to you and your sons.
