Obituary of Jordan Christopher STEINBRENNER

April 14, 1995 – Calgary, Alberta
July 20, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Jordan Steinbrenner of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020, at the age of 25 years. We think about you every day, we miss you beyond measure, but we find “peace” knowing you’re at “peace.”

A few things about Jordan... He came into this world on April 14, 1995, five weeks early…you just couldn’t wait. You brought love and happiness to everyone around you. You won a baby race at Deerfoot Mall when just a toddler, and that set the tone for your life….racing everywhere. You were a very spirited child who had a great sense of humour….JUST ask those who were at your grade six graduation, haha.

It was grades seven to nine that you began having some trouble. You hated being a “ginger” and were bullied for it. I never knew, and you carried this burden yourself into adulthood…I’m so sorry. You went on to complete all the requirements and got your grade twelve diploma. We were all so proud of you as you walked that stage…you were just beaming…what an accomplishment!

You enjoyed video games, hosting poker games, skateboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, swimming, golf with your pops, graffiti art, experimenting with cooking (but never housework), and would give anyone the shirt off your back if they needed it. You loved travelling and were so fortunate to visit so many places and counties in your young life. Always up for an adventure. You were very kind-hearted, always willing to lend a hand, a shoulder, or an ear. You were such a vibrant and dynamic young man whose life mattered very much. You were taken much too soon by fentanyl poisoning.

You leave behind your two brothers, Derek Bixby and Jared Steinbrenner; your dad and step-mom, Harold (Cand) Wilson; and me, your mom, Semona Steinbrenner as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great friends. We all feel a great void by your absence.

Due to the current restrictions, there will not be a funeral service. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed on Jordan’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.

In living memory of Jordan Steinbrenner, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, CALGARY, AB T2E 2V6, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
