Condolences
Kaz and family,
Our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences on the passing of Joan.
God's peace and comfort during this difficult time.
Kaz, my sincerest sympathy goes out to you and your family in this time of what I can only imagine is tremendous grief! Joan was always such a wonderful, lovely lady - and she would want nothing but the very best for you and Scott and family moving forward! Death is the hardest for those left behind - but I hope you find peace in your faith and know that you are only separated right now and will be reunited one day. All of my very best to you and if there is ever ANYTHING I can do to be of help to you - you only need to ask.
Love Arlene
Kaz, my condolences to you and your family in this sad time. Joan was a lovely lady and will be missed I'll always cherish the memories I have with her and will always remember her smile.
We first met when we moved next door, and Joan was welcoming and always had a smile for us. As new immigrants to Canada, your kindness and hospitality meant a lot to us and truly touched our hearts.
We will miss connecting with Joan on the driveway and at your home. We will always remember our chats with Joan when she was out with Angel.
Dear Kaz, Scott, Megan, Evan, Abby, and Angel, please accept our sincere condolences. Praying for God's comfort and peace to be with you during this difficult time. Joan will always be in our hearts, and we look forward to seeing her in our Father's house.
Shamini, Abe, Matthew, Andrew and Sonya
Kaz - Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. Joan will be missed at Tall Timber and especially at the pool on Saturday mornings. Pat Grant and Eric Jackson
In lieu of flowers, Gomer and I have made a donation to your church. I know what a big part of her life the church was. All our love. ❤️
No words can express our sorrow to learn of the sudden passing of dear Joan, except thankfulness and gratitude that she is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. How true that the days of our lives are in the God's good hands.
Joan was a special friend from the very first day we met at Edgemont Elementary. Although I was tasked to “show her the ropes”, Joan was the ideal and natural lunch supervisor as she loved kids and people with a motherly tenderness. She showed me what real kindness and compassion is.
Joan had a heart ready for God. So when I introduced her to Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) she was both excited and intimidated at the same time. She had thought that she was supposed to know all the answers to the questions!! After a few reminders that we will learn as we go along, Joan settled into BSF tremendously well, enjoying not only the study but also meeting and making new friends. Through our friendship over the years, both our husbands got to know each other as well. We would meet several times each year, always over great meals.
We will miss you very much, Joan, but with your wonderful home-made wheat heat pads which we use almost daily, you will remain very close to us.
Our prayers for you, Kaz, Scott and family will be for God’s comfort, peace, and strength in the days ahead.
With fondest memories,
Liz & Chris Chua
We had a lovely dinner at their place. Joan and I had a gut-wrentching laugh over the "back knobber" device I brought over for her to borrow for her back muscles. She thought the whole thing was just weird but funny.
Diane and myself were very sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. She will always be remember for her gentle warm smile and pleasant presence when ever me met with Joan at Tall Timber.
Kaz so very sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. She will be missed

Kaz, Scott, Megan, Even and Abby. I can't begin to tell you how sad I am hearing of Joan's passing. She was a very special lady. She was one of the kindest, most compassionate and caring people I have ever known. I was so privileged to work with her at Edgemont for many years. She would always say it was the best little job she ever had. The kids were so fortunate to have her. I will miss her dearly. My heart goes out to you. She adored all of you and talked about you all the time. She was a special lady that will be dearly missed
You are in our thoughts and our prayers at this time.
Dear Kaz, Scott and family, we are so saddened to hear the news about Joan. We will always remember her friendly nature, her wonderful cooking and her talents at sewing and for crafts. As we are currently camping in Newfoundland we will not be able to be at her funeral but be assured of our love and our prayers for all of you. May Jesus surround you with his love and strengthen and uphold you in the days and weeks ahead.

I’m so sorry for your loss Kaz, you are definitely prominent in my prayers
Dear Kaz, my deepest condolences to you and the family as Joan left you so suddenly, to go to Jesus. May the essence of Roman’s 15:13 stay with you: “May God the source of hope fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope throught the power of the Holy Spirit.”
So sorry for your loss Kaz, Scott, Megan and kids. It is such a shock. We will really miss her. Love to you all!
Kaz, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this trying time. As you well know, I very much enjoyed the many laughs we shared with Joan over coffee, dinner, and around the fire pit at TT. We will always fondly remember her……and we are looking forward to many more years of laughs with you! We are by your side my friend, now and always.
