Dear Vicki, Jesse and Luke:
Tony’s sudden passing was so unexpected - it’s hard to believe he’s gone. One of the first thoughts that came to mind was what a great cook he was - especially those ‘one of a kind’ cabbage rolls that would marvel our mom! As you know, he was an excellent dinner host and had a witty sense of humour; he liked to have family/friend get togethers where he would shine while serving his delicious meals. I admired his talent painting landscapes of the mountains in the Kootenays. I could see why he loved it there so much when I visited - he was in his element - which also included many friendly neighbours in that small community of Mountain Shores.
My sincere and heartfelt condolences.
Marian

To Vicki and Family,
We are saddened of your loss
We had a lot of fun with Tony and you at Shady brook Resort in Windemere, BC in 1977. I remember the year prior to this, Tony and I were snow skiing in the valley and we stopped into Shady brook and put a down payment to rent for the summer of 1977. Memories of Tony will always be Water skiing, and our 1 week snow skiing trip to Panorama, Cranbrook and Whitefish, Montana.
Dearest Vicki, Luke and Jesse, we want to express our heartfelt condolences for your tragic loss. I’m sorry we didn’t get to know Tony but understand he was a wonderful husband and father. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May God bless you and ease your burden. Love, Ted & Marianne

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to you Vicki, Jesse and Luke on the sudden passing of Tony. We always enjoyed going over to your place for good company; coffee; great meals and happy hour on the deck; and of course sharing fishing stories. As I remember, Tony taught me how to fish and bring in the "Big Ones"! Thank you Tony for being a good friend, and a great teacher. We will miss you dearly. You will always be in our hearts and our memories. Your Kootenay Lake Friends,
Lawrence & Sharon Toews
Our dearest Vicki, Jesse and Luke,
We send all our love and condolences. We wish we could be there tomorrow to comfort you all.
Bill wants to say Tony used to have an affinity for finding and harvesting firewood out in the many forests surrounding Kootenay Lake. He was affectionately known around Mountain Shores Village as “ The Woodchuck “. He “chucked” a lot of wood in his day. How much? Nobody knows.
He also was very hospitable having us over for his delicious meals that he cooked and that we always enjoyed very much.
Tony will be missed by all of us.
Dear Vicki, Jesse and Luke,
It is with sadness that we have learned of our friend Tony's passing. What a terrible loss to us all.
He was a good friend and my hunting buddy over 35 years. I will miss and cherish our competitive spirit and tall tales we loaded on each other during our expeditions for those elusive pheasants.
Please accept Roxana and my heartfelt condolences.
