Condolences
I am very saddened to hear about Ken’s passing. Ken hired me to work at Payless Oil in 1984; it was one of my first jobs and he is probably still the best boss I’ve ever had. He was so very kind and taught me so much about business. He would visit each of our gas stations and know something personal about every one of the owners – he cared about his people and helped to get them the best deals he could. He & Don made that little business grow into something really special for all of us. I’ve thought of Ken often over the years and still hear his voice when I putt (bend your knees, straighten your back, swing the club like a pendulum … and for goodness sake, keep your head down!). He gave me my first business card holder, an old one he acquired in a tournament years before, which I still use. Funny how the little things mean so much. I’ll always be grateful for the chance he gave me and the lessons I learned; it was a pleasure knowing such a true gentleman. He’ll be missed by many.
My sincere condolences to the family in the loss of your father Kenneth.
Warmest regards from Judy Christianson (formerly of Morbank Financial)
My sincere condolences on the passing of Ken. We enjoyed many good days and many good laughs playing golf at Willow Park. Ken was the best golfer for a guy his age. He was well-known by the members at Willow Park and was always happy, greeting everyone with a smile. I will miss him a lot.
As the eldest daughter of Bob MacDonald, I wanted to express our deepest condolences for the passing of Ken. He was our father’s dear, dear, friend, and in the last few years at Lake Bonavista Seniors Residence, his confidant and best buddy! He will be truly missed for his positive demeanor and a really great friend for our Dad. God Bless you all, from Patti,Barb, Joan and most of all, Bob MacDonald.
