Condolences
We were honoured to run into George in June 2019 in the fitness room of our housing complex when he and Judy just moved in. We invited him to go to the bible study. He showed up and we were very impressed by his enthusiasm. He was not shy to ask questions and engaged in discussions. We would merrily sing “…this is my story; this is my song. Praising my Saviour all the day long” every time we met in the hallway and even on his balcony.
We were also impressed by the love of George and Judy towards each other. A couple of times when Judy had other commitment and could not attend the bible study, George would bring some snacks back to her. During the last few months, Judy had tirelessly and selflessly cared for George in her usual sweet gentle way.
We were in the middle of studying The Gospel of John when the pandemic hit and the gathering came to a halt. We were very sad to hear of his passing but understand that he is now with the Lord enjoying peace. We give thanks to God and pray that the Lord comfort and strengthen his family especially Judy, the love of his life.
George, you had finished your race. We hope one day we’ll hear your roaring voice singing “…this is my story; this is my song. Praising my Saviour all the day long” and we’ll finish reading the Gospel of John in Heaven.

Judy, Paul, John, and Holly.
Our sincere condolences for your loss. I met George and probably Judy at the same time volunteering for the Stampede 1983. I was invited down by Jimmy Lutz, who introduced me to George. George enticed me to become a part of the committee rather than sitting around being a lazy ...hole. And still doing the Stampede. I had run into George off and on crossing paths in Invermere area. George was a true inspiration and mentor to myself as i grew with the Stampede. He always put forth 110%. He created memories in everything he did. And I do remember the dog that chased after the rocks he threw over the ridge at his cabin. George will be missed by all.

Sorry for your loss, George will be missed!!
If he was still alive , I would say to him " Here is my Hand & here is my Heart"
Judy and family;
Even before Pat and I read George's obituary we had talked about how much we admired, respected, and appreciated George for his gusto and ability to do things his way.
Over all the 38 +years I worked with George on Spur Valley issues I looked forward to lots of laughs but more importantly I learned from George every time we met or talked. I always valued his opinion.
The words in the obituary were a great tribute to George and well deserved.
Our entire family feels fortunate to have been a part of George's life!
Our sincere condolences to you Judy and the entire family.

Over the years I was lucky enough to golf some beautiful courses in AB, BC & AZ with George. I heard George say many times "100% of short putts never go in" George lived his life off the course following the same motto, why be short of the goal? I've taken this advice from him and always have it in my head. The entire Bzeta family is a special family, George left a great legacy.
Dear Judy & Family
We are thinking of you all at this sad time
We have great memories of George,
As a neighbor at the cabin, the good ole Arizona
days and so many great times enjoyed in Calgary
George will always be in our hearts and mind

We are saddened to hear about George and sending our deepest condolences to the Bzeta family.
George definitely had a huge presence and I have always admired his zest for life! He always made himself present with his big booming voice and old school shout outs...you knew you were a friend of George's when he greeted you with “hey a**hole” which was his term of endearment.
During our summers spent in Spur Valley next door to the Bzetas I spent a lot of time with George, Judy, John, Paul & Holly creating many fond memories.
I remember thinking how amazing it was when George showed us the rings of Saturn through his telescope. It was also great fun when George would pile us into the back of his “Ukrainian 4x4” to collect garbage in the Spur Valley neighborhood, he would then take us to the store for treats!
Over the years our families spent holiday time together house boating on Shuswap lake, meeting up in Hawaii, boating on Invermere lake, camp fires and too many happy hours to count...some of my best childhood memories are from my time spent at the cabin and with the Bzeta family.
Always Loved, Never Forgotten, Forever Missed
Lots Of Love,

Judy, Paul, Holly and John. So sorry to hear of George’s passing. I will always be great full for the opportunity he gave a sales rookie at Fleet Brake. I hope I was able to do justice to the faith he put in me.
I will always remember our sales meetings at the coffee shop in Ogden. Best coffee and donuts in the city according to George. Another memory is how excited he was going to see Frank Sinatra in Calgary. He was like a child at Christmas. Frank’s song My Way sums up George to a T. Give it a listen.
But the most important people for George was his family, a loving and caring husband, father and grand father.
Rest easy my friend and maybe we can have coffee and a donut again one day.

My condolences to John and all the Bzeta family. I only met George a couple of times at the Fleet Brake Stampede BBQ and both times were very memorable as he made a point to introduce himself to all the suppliers and give us a story of his colorful past. The stories and humor were one of the highlights of the day.

Judy, Paul, Holly, John, & Family. I'm so sorry to hear about George's passing. I met George in 1978 when he first opened Fleet Brake. He was a high spirited funny guy that came every Thursday to make everyone laugh at his jokes. He was a people guy from start to finish. We will all miss George and his jokes.
RIP my friend

John, sorry to hear about your father, we had a lot of good arguments and laughs. You know I never run any of the arguments but I really enjoyed the time with him. He was good man and always willing to help.

It was with great sadness that I learned of George's passing; I wish to extended my heartfelt condolences to Judy, Paul, Holly, John and the entire Bzeta family.
While I was initially brought to tears on seeing his smiling face on this website, it was quickly replaced with a smile as I recalled the 40+ years of being a neighbor and friend to George and his family. Remembering the times spent with George around many campfires and "happy hours" at the Spur Valley get-away, golfing the Radium resort, tipping beers in Hawaii, or house boating the Shuswap will always bring happiness. You will be missed my friend but "surely" not forgotten!
On behalf of my entire family, we look forward to reminiscing George's life and antics with the Bzetas and friends at Spur Valley over the rest of our lives.
With Love,
Gord, Nicole, Jocelyn, and Keaton
John & Family,
My condolences to you all on the passing of George. I can't help but remember watching George make the rounds at the Stampede BBQ held every year at Fleet Brake, it will be a fond memory for me always. He would go around to everyone, thank them for their support of the event, share a story or tell a joke. It was the highlight of the day for me. He truly was a one of a kind gent and will be greatly missed!

Our condolences to the Bzeta family on this huge loss. May the memories of so many years give you some peace. I always enjoyed being on the golf course with George. He was a great man.
It was my great pleasure to have known George during and after my Fleet Brake days. He was a force of nature. My favorite memory was watching him react to John's acceptance speech in Las Vegas when "we" won North American Distributor of the year...he was so proud. My condolences to the Bzeta family...George will be missed.
My sincerest condolences to the family on George's passing

John I am so sorry to hear of your dads passing. I met George around 1980 when I lived in Calgary. We hit it off right away as he was a person who would hold people accountable for their b*%&$#t. We continued to meet through various trade associations and became very close friends. When his son John and I finally became business partners I received a call form George and he asked me in the usual colorful way how come it took me so long to join the Fleet Brake family. I could go on for a long time of our time spent together but it would take a long time. I do know that my life was changed dramatically the day I met George and I always felt he was like a second father to me. I am always very proud to say I an associated with the Fleet Brake family and will always be grateful for our time spent together. My deepest condolences to the entire Bzeta family in this tough time.

Sorry to hear of Mr. Bzeta's passing. I remember him from the old CFS days. He was quite the character as the obituary shows. My condolences to John and the family.
Judy and family, our sincere condolences on George’s passing. He will be missed. I’m sure the “Sheriff” will be checking on the campfires from on high.

Judy, Paul, John, and Holly.
Our sincere condolences.
George was a unique good natured person.
In our many years knowing George as neighbors of the Bzeta Cabin at Spur Valley, we learned to respect Him, his Accomplishments and his Lifestyle. George was very approachable, and kind with help (borrowing things around the cabin, etcetera). As everyone who knew George knows he spoke his mind no matter in what situation or where. It always was in a kind hearted manor.
Those memories will be forever with us.
My wife Cheryl, who lost her battle with cancer in 2013 would have amazed at the resolve George possessed to keep going, and living every day...
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Signed
Doug, Jennifer and Brandon (Sennett's).
Judy, Holly and family - I am truly broken-hearted for you with George now gone. The void in your lives will be difficult to fill. But what a legacy he leaves behind. I pray that your sorrow will ease over the months and years, although right now it's hard to imagine. I understand all too well. I will truly miss this outspoken, opinionated man; a man that was cut from the same cloth as my own father. Their candidness was something I appreciated and respected. Godspeed, George. You will be missed.
Joan Dunstone and family (and Maisie!) x
Our sincere condolences to Judy and Family,
George was a remarkable man who told it as he saw it. He always had time for his grandkids and taught them right from wrong. He will be missed at our family gatherings.
Signed;
Gary and Marion Kelley
Judi, Paul, Holly and John, so sorry to hear of George's (your Dad's) passing. I was recalling all of the fun we had as kids at your parents cabin near Radium whether it be going to the dump in the "pig" with your dad or getting up in the morning to your dad making his infamous pancakes for breakfast. He loved to tell us he had a secret ingredient which in the end I think was an extra egg that he put into the batter. He was such a kind person and the world was a better place because of him. My thoughts are with each of you at this difficult time. Virtual Hugs.
