Obituary of Jean Delores CLAY (nee Bradburn)

October 9, 1931 – Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
November 12, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with immense sadness we announce the passing of Jean Clay, our beloved Mother and Nana on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the age of 89 years.

Jean will be forever loved and remembered by her children, Lori (John), Wendy (Don) and Scott (Wendy); her beautiful grandchildren and very special great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved with all of her heart; as well as her very special companion and dear friend, Jennifer who brightened her days with her love and support.

Jean was predeceased by the love of her life, Larry who passed away in 2018. We take comfort in knowing they are together as one again.

Larry and Jean retired in Victoria, BC and returned back to Calgary to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Prior to them both moving into Long Term Care, they spent twenty-one years at Heritage Pointe, Dewinton, AB.

They loved to travel and took several trips to various parts of the United States and spent several winters in Arizona.

Mom’s family was the world to her; there was nothing she wouldn’t do for her husband, children and grandchildren. She was truly the kindest, sweetest, caring Mother, Nana and friend. You will be forever loved and in our hearts.

The family would like to thank all the staff at McKenzie Towne Long Term Care who treated Mom with love and care. You blessed Mom’s life during her struggles with dementia.

In honour of Jean….teach your children well, love unconditionally and always be humble and kind.
