Condolences
To Rita and your wonderful family. My sincere condolences; I was truly saddened to hear of Gabe’s passing. You all cared deeply and gave so lovingly to make his latter years more comfortable. Though not an easy journey, know that you made a difference by being there for him when he needed you most. What a deserving and lucky man! It was a pleasure to have met your family at the George Boyack. I have fond memories of you all, along with your hospitality and kindness extended to me by inviting me to share in some family celebrations. The ‘Italian way’... always room for one more. Thank you and God Bless! Lynn Smith

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time. We wish we could be there to love on you in person. I have many wonderful memories of Zio growing up. Our condolences to the the Brandelli family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We will cherish the memories we have of Gabriele, especially the times shared at gatherings where we celebrated family, food, and love of the Italian heritage. Gabriele will be sorely
missed. Angela Manzara and family.
My thoughts, prayers and love are with all of you during this difficult time. I have great memories of growing up and our extended family gatherings (birthdays /holiday events). He aways was a prankster with us kids at those parties. He was a warm caring man who welcomed anyone in his home at anytime. I reflect back on the uncertainty and difficult decision Zio and his brothers and sister made in leaving roots and familiarity behind to come to Canada. I look at how hard it was for them when they first came not knowing the language, and how hard they all worked to give us all the opportunities we could ask for. I see those opportunities, hopes and dreams continuing through us and now our own children. His kindness, caring and commitment to his children (and granchildren) will leave a lasting legacy in his family forever. May Zio be welcomed into heaven to be with his brothers and sister again to watch over us all with great pride and accomplishment in all that he has done. He has touched so many lives and will be missed by all who knew him.

My Zio Gabe
Zio Gabe was a wonderful man…someone to admire. He was a tall strong figure that always had everything in order and in pristine condition; yet his warmth and good sense of humor always put us at ease and made us feel welcome. I’ll never forget his license plate “Babbo”, his plentiful garden and greenhouse, and his Christmas village which made this time of year extra special. He was a shining example of faithful to both his religion and to his family. He always found a way to put a smile on our faces, his quick wit and hilarious responses were something to behold. Even in the latter years Zio found a way to bring light to every situation. Luca, Simi and I were visiting once when Zio broke out the apple peeling machine…the kid’s eyes lit up when they seen it working. There was never a dull moment with Zio. During visits we’d talk airplanes and share pictures; loved hearing stories about his restoration projects and making those aircraft as perfect as his house and cars. His attention to detail was unmatched…
I’ll miss you Zio. You’ll always be someone I strive to be. We love you…rest in peace.
Your “polvero”,
Vince, Steph, Simi, and Luca Colangeli
