Obituary of Terry Margaret LINDSTROM

November 25, 1959 – Red Deer, Alberta
January 8, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Heaven gained a beautiful angel with the passing of Terry Lindstrom, beloved wife of John and mother to Stephen and Keifer, on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the age of 61 years.

Terry was born in Red Deer, AB and spent her early years in Sylvan Lake AB. Terry moved to Calgary with her parents and sister at the age of six.  She spent her formative years there before moving to Edmonton when she completed school. There, she met her future husband, John and they moved back to Calgary where they married in 1984.  They welcomed their first son in 1989 and settled in Airdrie, AB in 1997, welcoming their second son in 1998.

Terry was a born homemaker and mother.  She spent much of her time and energy, creating entertaining birthday parties for her boys, big Christmas celebrations, playing taxi Mom for sports, school and musical events.  Terry made imaginative Halloween costumes, decorative cakes and so much more.  She loved being a soccer Mom and all the boy’s friends were always welcome in their home. Over the years Terry graciously provided a home for many people in need.

Terry adored being Nona to Kallum, Taylor and Ian. She was a loving and inspirational woman to all who were lucky enough to know her. Her kind heart touched everyone.  In spite of her own health issues, she gave freely of herself.  This included making blankets for newborn babies for hospitals and complete strangers.  Terry had a talent to keep all of us grounded and to remember what was important. Her unconditional love for all of her family, friends and her dogs will be what we hold on to forever.

Terry is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, John Lindstrom, her sons, Stephen and Keifer Lindstrom, sister Sandra Hollands; sister-in-law Donna (Ron) Robak; nephews, Chris Robak and Dallon Riches, niece Jennifer Robak, cousins, Marilyn Alkanbrak, Cheryl Bain, Beverly Bodeux, Tim, Jim and Kevin Bain. She is also survived by her uncle Charlie Bain; as well as her extended families, Chuck and Leah Casey, Jim and Lori Whiteside, Lori and Randy Breeuwsma and all of their families.  She will also be mourned by the Watts, the Carmichaels and many other friends.

Terry was predeceased by her mother Betty Hollands; her aunts, Hazel Bain, Marian Bain and Helen Keisser, her uncle Donald Bain; her sister-in-law Lisa Riches; and her father and mother-in-law Gus and Klara Lindstrom.

Terry’s passing has left huge holes in all of our hearts which we will fill with the many cherished memories she created for us all.  She will always be greatly loved and missed
