Condolences
Dan was one of my favorite Building Managers. His no nonsense, let's get this done attitude, and friendly banter would make my day when we had occasion to work together. I am very proud to have called Dan my friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. My sincere condolences to all he left behind.
Rob Harvey, MDR Services.
I am so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. He was a gem, a person that always made you feel special and heard. He truly cared about people and oh wow what a sense of humour. I will miss seeing him at the Dorchester, he went out of his way to help me more times than I can remember. The last time we chatted he was telling me about his beloved Darlene, and now they are together. My condolences to his family, R.I.P. sweet Dan.
Mark & I were very sadden to hear about Dan. We have a lot of great memories of their time in Elora at the farm. We would bring our girls, Dar would play the guitar and Dan would sing. He was such a nice guy and would help anyone. Our sincere condolences to Ang & Kevin. Xo
I was saddened to learn of Dan's passing. He always showed his Big Heart to many of our Residents at Dorchester Square. I extend my sincere condolences to his Family, Friends and Colleagues.
May his memory be a Blessing.
I have met many fine people as a Dorchester Square resident for nearly 23 years. Dan was certainly one of the finest. His honesty, transparency and care for others were unparalleled. He was always willing to take the initiative to step up whether it was lending a hand, dealing with disruptive neighbours or addressing parkade issues. It was a tremendous honour to know Dan and he will be greatly missed by all.
As an owner in Dorchester Square I was used to seeing Dan around the building. He never failed to say hello to me (using my name). He seemed to know everyone and everything. I felt confident that, in his hands, our building was being properly taken care of and just as importantly, it was being taken care of by a genuinely kind and caring person.
I was sadden to hear of his passing, it was far to soon. It really will not be the same without him here and will be missed.
Best wishes to his family during this painful time.
I have lived in this building for some years. I have recently moved from one unit to another. One of the reasons why I decided to stay here it was you Dan; you and Nadia.
Dan, you made this building a better place to live. We miss you a lot.
My condolences. Many of us at Dorchester Square will miss Dan's warmth and work ethic.
When I had just moved in to the Dorchester Square building, I joked that my partner and Dan were "best buds". It was not long after that I realized that Dan was not only the most reliable building operator one could ask for, but also a dear friend to many of the residents living in the building. He always had a smile on his face, and a genuine and warm demeanor. I will miss exchanging our near-daily hello's and friendly banter. Dan had a way of making this building feel like a community, and it will not be the same in his absence.
We will miss Dan dearly, and extend our condolences to his family.
My deepest condolences to Dan's family. Our family was very saddened to hear of his passing and Dan will be greatly missed. He was a fixture at Dorchester Square and his absence leaves a great void.
It feels like I have known Dan alot longer then the few short years he spent impacting my life.
Dan was apart of my daily routine. We met every morning at Dorchester Square to go over events and to plan for the day. Dan was an extension of me. I knew without a doubt that any project he was given would not only be done, but be handled as if I was doing it myself. Dan knew his stuff and projected that on any task he tackled.
Dan became a friend and a member of the Abba's team. His sarcastic humor and ability to read situations put people at ease when dealing with Dan. He often had the solution before the problem was fully discovered.
Dan had a remarkable ability to remember every unit, the occupants and the issues that would arise. Everyone was an individual and Dan treated them that way.
It was always a pleasure when I received compliments from individuals that interacted with Dan. It put a smile on my face to watch Dan squirm when I relayed these messages to him.
Dan you will be missed.
I had gotten to know Dan through our frequent visits at Dorchester Square over the past few years. I remember shortly after he started at Dorchester I went into the office with my parents, who were visiting, to talk about a sink issue I was having. From that conversation, he knew that I was a young girl living alone in the city that didn't have her parents to help. Knowing that, he immediately stepped in to always go out of his way to help me. His big heart was apparent and both me and my parents are forever grateful of the care and help he chose to give me. I always knew I could call Dan and he would be right there. Over time, he became more than just a building operator, he was a familiar, friendly, smiling face that I was always happy to see around the building. I can still hear his "Hi Ryleeee" every time he saw me or picked up the phone, which always put a smile on my face. I will miss him dearly and Dorchester Square will not be the same without him.
You will always be our"Danny Boy".So many good times with you Dan and Darlene.God Bless for a long waited reunion as you both are now reunited in Heaven. You have joined the Guargian Angel club now. Please what over Andela and her family .

We will miss Dan’s smiling face at Dorchester. He was always there with a helping hand. Looking after our family when we needed him to or just stepping in to help. He truly will be missed. Schedlosky/Otis family.
Dan,
We were connected upon our first meeting. We lived together at your daughter’s house and quickly became friends. Soon after, we became work colleagues. With time, I learned about your enormous heart, and your ability to help those who needed extra care at Dorchester.
I will never forget nor will I ever, ever stop loving you for the person you are. You are with Dar now, as you always wanted.
My condolences to Dan's family and friends. Dan had been a major support in all of the time I knew him in the Dorchester. He could always find time for the residence of the Dorchester and particularly helpful to me. Dan would go out of his way to help those in the most need. Dan will be missed but I know he is now where he wanted to be, with his loving wife. Rest in peace Dan
