Condolences
Dear Jaynie,
As life long friends, my thoughts and prayers are with you, Kaitlin and Derek at this time. Will always think of Richard’s kindness and smiling face. He will not be forgotten. Dianna.
Am so sorry to hear of this. Worked with Richard for many years right after he graduated post secondary. Hard working, diligent, humble and ever considerate of his co-workers, Richard was a gentle soul very much admired by all of ‘us’. Much peace to Jayne and the kids. I hope fond memories of happier times are quick to ease pain.
Super friend going through school in Fort McMurray. Always had a great laugh, loved his attitude this tends to rub off on all that knew him. My heart always breaks when guys like Richard go so soon. My heart felt condolences to his family.
Richard - you were loved by all who met you. You were kind, generous and joyful with a beautiful smile and twinkling eyes. We were privileged to be part of your family and will always hold you in our hearts. You made the world a better place and you will be missed.

While I never met Richard, I know Jayne and how much she adored him. I'm sorry that we never had a chance to meet in person because I am sure that he was amazing. Jayne, for you and the kids and your whole family, our hearts are with you during this difficult time. We will continue to pray for all of you, and we are here for you.
With love, Astrid and Mark, Nathanael, Josiah, Ethan and Christianna Eckstein
I remember Richard had an infectious smile, kind heart and always loved to make people laugh; far too young - sincere condolences to the family
So sorry to hear of Richard's passing. He was far too young. I was Richard's teacher at St, John's school as well at Father Mercredi CHS in Fort McMurray. Sending my thoughts and prayers to the family.
Richard,
I miss you dearly. You made the world a better place. I will miss your laughter, your jokes and especially when you come to visit. You always treated me like family. I will always remember the weekend we spent out at your brother Jim's place. we had so much fun. You know what I miss the most, is how your sister Loretta's eye's lit up when you came to visit her. You will always be in my heart. I will never forget you.
Love you buddy.
Richard your quiet strength and kindness always shone through. You loved your family and I know they will be ok because you will watch out for them. Gone too soon...be at peace. With Love from the Shorr family.
I was so happy when we all became family. Richard, you were always a man of integrity, had an incredible work ethic and were admired by so many.. However, a great tribute to you is that you were such a loving family man.
My heart hurts to know that I won't hear your laugh again or to wonder what inappropriate Christmas gift you may have bought for me. We always had great giggles with our choices.
Happy trails my sweet boy -
Love always -
Bambi
Hey Richard, somehow we never met in person, I don't think. But I've known your wife Jayne for like, twenty years. You sure meant the world to her. She found so much balance and completeness in you. I know she loved you so deeply. I am grateful my friend was able to spend even a much too short time with someone as fabulous as you. You made her smile and laugh. For years. Thank you for being there for my friend. I'm sorry your time here was cut so short. Peace out.
Richard you’ll be greatly missed. I have so many beautiful memories. You were always kind, generous and witty. I couldn’t have asked for a better brother. I probably blocked out any childhood squabbles, but honestly don’t ever remember fighting with you. You were always there in times of crisis and had so much patience with me. We had many laughs and I’ll always remember your weird sense of humour.
Love always
Your sister Loretta Sluchinski
Jayne i could never know how special your life was with Richard, but i do know he was the world to you as you were to him. it shows and has shown through the years i have known you. i send condolences, support and love as you go through this. RIP Richard , . .you had that one in a million with Jayne, a wife friend and mother to your children. You will be greatly missed.
What a man you were! We love you so much! Cancer is so cruel, and your passing has left such a profound sadness in all that knew you! We will take care of Jayne, Katie and Derek. May your smile always be big and your eyes sparkle like the stars...as that is how you will be remembered.
