Obituary of Ralph MARKLE

May 12, 1926 – Stavely, Alberta
January 20, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Sadly we announce the passing of Ralph Markle of Calgary, AB on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at the age of 94 years.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife Betty, his son Doug (Diane), daughters, Marg (Dave), and Karen (Henry); six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, step-son Frank (Karen), step-daughter Wendy (Gary), two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Wilma, sisters, Lee and Amy; brother Ed and extended family.

Ralph served in the Armed Forces. After working many years as an Electrician for the Province of Alberta he went on to enjoy many happy years of retirement. He loved square dancing, round dancing, dancing, gardening, woodworking, camping and travelling the world. He belonged to the Thorncliffe Seniors Centre, enjoying many activities and social outings. Ralph also participated in the Calgary 55 Plus Senior Games for many years with Betty at his side. He was the “Best Dad” and “Grandpa.” He will be missed by all who knew him.
