Condolences
Had a great time hunting elk on horseback with Frank and Don Lyons out at Racehorse Creek and down in Wateron Lakes. Also had a lot of fun playing golf with Frank, my dad and Don Lyons at Kannanaskis. Sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. My condolences.

Dear Gail, Heather and Glenda and families,
We would like to express our sympathy in the loss of Frank, who was such a unique and interesting man and certainly embraced life and adventure to the fullest while he was able to. His memory will be cherished especially by his family and many friends who were fortunate to have known him.
Sincerely,
Vicky and Gary Lawrnce
To the Richards family,
I am sad to see Frank’s obituary, but not surprised he decided to leave on his own terms. I met Frank on the first tee at CHGC shortly after joining the club. We ended up sharing a cart that day and shared pleasantries on the front nine and traded jokes continuously from the 11th tee to the 18th green! When we headed to the 19th hole, I suggested we discontinue our joke telling or we would likely be suspended from the club! He always had a good joke or one-liner every time I saw him. He probably still had a few up his sleeve as the IV started to drip!
I will miss seeing his twinkling eyes and the lines that would invariably follow.
My condolences to your family.
Gail, Heather, Glenda and families - It is with deep sadness that we learned of Frank's passing and extend our sympathy and prayers of comfort to all of you. I vividly remember meeting both of you( Gail and Frank) for the the first time. Perhaps you remember, Gail, that Pastor Holst had asked us to host a meeting of prospective members for the establishment of Advent Lutheran Church. We did all our arrangements via the telephone, and when we arrived at the venue for our event, Gil discovered that he already knew Frank and had a working relationship with him in the oilpatch! Frank had an amazing love of life and adventure, made us all laugh and smile. We remember all the visits at your home and the wonderful hospitality that both of you provided. Thank you also to Heather and Glenda for all the babysitting you did for our young family so long ago. Although our paths have not crossed in recent years, we hold all these memories of time spent with your family close in our hearts and pray for God's presence in your lives as you go forward now without Frank's daily presence in your lives. We are so lucky to have memories. Love from Gil and Darlene Hegel.
I remember Frank as the strong, proud, salt of the earth father of one of my good friends from college. I am not surprised he faced the end on his own terms, only after giving it all he had. He will be missed by family and friends, but not forgotten. Even though my memories of Frank are limited, like him they are strong, proud, and salt of the earth.
Take care and give love,
Danny Cooper

I was sorry to read the sad news. I met Frank at CHGC, but being from different generations we only golfed a few times together. His swing was unique and powerful. And obviously accurate with 5 hole in ones. Our time together was on the range where he always seemed to have a funny quip making me laugh
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time
