Obituary of Barbara BAYNES

January 4, 1935 – Port Talbot, South Wales
January 31, 2021– Calgary, Alberta

Barbara Baynes, affectionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully with her husband and daughter by her side at the age of 86 on Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Calgary, AB. 

A devoted Christian, Barbara has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Barbara was a kind and gentle spirit who spent her time raising her children, serving in her church, and being with family and friends. In 2006 Barbara was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and with cancer in 2019. 

Barbara is survived by her loving husband David; children, David (Rita), Warren (Krista), and Caroline (Gary), and grandson Nathaniel. 

Barbara is also survived by her aunt Marion who is 100 years old this year; her two sisters, Margaret (Fred) and Marion (Malcolm), sister-in-law, Diana (Peter), nephew, Wayne, and grand-nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Enid Jones. 

The family would like to thank the nurses and care teams at Barbara’s long term care facilities, who spent over six years looking after Barbara, as well as her home care providers.
