Condolences
Mom says sorry to hear of Lillian's passing. Dorothy used to do puzzles with Lillian many a day. She would come over, next door. Our deepest sympathy from our family to yours. May you find comfort in the memories that are yours to cherish always, and strength in the companionship of those who share your loss. Sincerely, Dorothy Marich & family.
Lillian was a kind and generous friend and a wonderful neighbor. I especially cherish the memories of visiting back and forth at Christmas. Sam and I send our deepest condolences to her family and friends.

My father, Herb Stanley, was first cousin to Lillian. My fathers sister, Margaret Conlin, who lives in Calgary has shared memories of growing up and spending Sunday afternoons with Lillian and her family. I was fortunate to visit with Lillian when I lived in Calgary recently, visiting her in the hospital prior to her relocating to the nursing home and again after she settled there. Margaret and I visited and I distinctly remember Lillian's warmth on our first meeting when she held my hand tight and told me "she knew who I was", because of the resemblance to my father.
The photographs from the 1940's during the war, of Lillian, Margaret and my father, their happiness during trying times, are wonderful links to a past they have spoken about.
I was very fortunate to have been able to meet Lillian.
Sending our heartfelt condolences to John, Darlene, Michael and Diane. Auntie Lillian was such a loved member of the Samphire family. We fondly remember her daily afternoon visits for tea. Her love of knitting was enjoyed by many, including the students at James Short Memorial, who were gifted with hat and mitten sets that she donated for those in need. Her laughter, generosity and kindness will be missed. We are thankful she will be reunited with Jack and Danny. Sending big hugs and love to you all.

Our deepest sympathies are extended to you all in your loss of your Mom and Grandma. She will be missed by you all and many others. Cherish all your wonderful times together and the memories you have made over the years.
I have wonderful childhood memories of Auntie Lillian. It went without saying that we would see each other every Sunday at our traditional Family Sunday Roast Beef Dinner at Gramma & Grampa Keen’s.
I remember the many lovely dresses, cowboy shirts and other outfits that she made for my sister (Carolyn) and I – maybe a different color, but always matching – we were so proud to wear what she had made for us. In later years Auntie painstakingly made Barbie Doll outfits and Cabbage Patch Doll clothes for my daughters (Carie & Jodi). We still have a few of her creations that were kept for my grandkids.
Auntie Lillian was a lovely lady, a very kind, gentle and caring person. She will be missed by all those who had the good fortune of knowing her over her lifetime.
Rest in Peace.
Love Gwen Fargey & Family
“Auntie” Lillian has been a part of our family for 63 years. For approximately 30 years she spent every Christmas Eve with us, always bringing her delicious cabbage rolls, something that I have attempted to carry on in the last few years. Kerrie and the Wigle family send their heartfelt love and condolences to the Dirrane family.
