Condolences
I know my Auntie Perla would always want us to remember her with joy, not sadness. So today I choose to be happy… happy that she doesn’t have to “Imagine Heaven” anymore because she’s already there, happy that I am where I am today because she chose to help my family get settled in Calgary some 15 years ago, happy that I got to know a fiercely independent woman who didn’t need a man by her side to still enjoy life, happy to be on the receiving end of one Godly being always ready to help others despite fighting cancer for so many years. Rest now Auntie.. we’ll take it from here. #RIP #family.
I enjoyed working with Perlita at the Salvation Army Jackson\Willan Homes for seniors with dementia. Her strong faith in the Lord carried her through many of the challenges she endured with cancer.
My condolences, prayers and thoughts are with her family and friends who are grieving her loss.
