Condolences
I remember visiting Uncle Gordon one summer at his geologic field site - tents and helicopters everywhere. We ran around trying to identify rocks and climbed all over the outcrops. I recall one particular time hugging so close to the rock face as a train rolled on by, disturbingly close!
John, Andy, Peg and Barb, my sincerest condolences. Your Dad certainly left his mark in the world, not just through his work at the GSC but in each of you and the wonderful family he and your Mom raised. May you find strength at this time in your faith, family and friends. Don’t be strangers. It was nice to see you again. I’d love to hear some engineering, camping and project management stories. Give me a call.
Take care always.....Mark & Michele Taylor
I will always remember Gordon for his kindness to me. I am Francine Taylor Mazenko and Gordon became my Brother-in-Law when I married into the Taylor family in 1969. On our trips to Calgary Gordon would always take me shopping at the local stores and had endless patience with me while I selected items to purchase. He made our trips so enjoyable.
I am very privileged to be a member of Taylor Family...Gordon, Ann, John, Peg, Andy & Barb. Your father was an outstanding man in many ways and will always be remembered as a very special person in my life.
Love, Fran
Dad...
did I remember to thank you for all you’ve done for me...
The times you were by my side...
To help and support me...
To celebrate my success and understand my problems and understand my defeats...
For teaching by example, the value of hard work, good judgement, courage, and integrity
Did I ever thank you for the sacrifices you made?
And for the simple things...
Like laughter, smiles, and the adventures we shared through the Rocky Mountains...
If I have forgotten to show my gratitude for all you have done, I am thanking you now.
And hoping you knew all along
how much I loved you.
Love - Peg
