Condolences
I had the pleasure of working with Ron at Corns and Shier for two years as a secretary. He was always so kind and patient and his clients loved him. Marion his wife was a kind soul also. She always came in with a beautiful smile. Ron worked so hard and actually ended up encouraging me to pursue a career in accounting, of which I did, and had my own practice for 30 years as a CPA. He will be missed. Condolences to his family.
To the family of Ron and Marion,
We always enjoyed our visits with them at CA functions and often at Carl and Bette’s! It was touching to hear your loving tributes to your dear Dad. Each one described the kind , gentlemanly, smiling man that he was.
Your parents and the Brownes came to visit us at our cabin at Christina Lake! It was a very happy time culminating in your Dad falling through the “ tired” webs of our sun bleached lawn chair! We had a few chuckles over that!
You appreciated the blessings your parents gave you and your children, all special remembrances!
Sincere condolences,
Jack and Isobel Montgomery

It was such a beautiful celebration of Uncle Ron's life and I did what Brian suggested, I had a small glass right full of wine to celebrate such a kind, soft hearted, wonderful man! I have so many fond memories of going to Calgary to visit over the years, Uncle Ron and Auntie Marion were always so warm & welcoming (it was so exciting going to the big city)! We always looked forward to their visits at the farm as well. He will be so missed! We are thinking of you all at this difficult time, hugs.

Sandra, Doug and Brian,
My sisters and I will always remember the happy times our families shared together. Your Mom and Dad were very special people. The loving tributes by you and your children today were wonderful and the photo montage was very moving.
Thinking of you all.

It was a very nice Celebration of Life. Uncle Ron was truly a kind, gentle, wonderful man. I remember him barbequing the best steaks ever, great crib & pool player, & always had time to listen to our stories. We have many great memories of going to to Calgary, as well as your family coming to the farm for visits. He will be missed dearly.
Thinking of you all with our Deepest Sympathy,
Love Brenda, Bob & Family
Our deepest sympathy to your families. We joined you in celebrating Uncle Ron's life from home today. It was a nice service that was very fitting to everything that Ron was. Hugs to all of you. Love Bruce and Barb
Doug, Sandra. Brian, Sandra, Maggie, Evan, Kristen, Sarah,
It was so good for Art and I to experience Ron's memorial service with you today. We were touched by your memories and loving words about your dad and grandfather, and by the wonderful pictures through the years of Ron and Marion, friends and family. I was so grateful to have Ron as my uncle and was always appreciative of his kindness, warmth and gentleness. Art, too, appreciated the lovely person that he was and was so glad to know him. He was a good, good man and he gave a great deal to those around him.
Bless you all as you grieve and remember him. We grieve and remember him with you.

Hi Sandra, Doug, Brian... so sorry not to be there with you today. I'm glad I had the chance to see you, and hear your kind words about your dad. He was a special man, and I always had a sense of very deep kindness when I was around him. Please accept my sincere condolences. I too have very fond memories of our family gatherings at your place, I really hope we can all see each other soon. Sincerely, Reid
I have fond memories of family dinners at your parent’s home in Lakeview, Sandra, Doug, and Brian. Ron was a kind and gentle man. He was also a humble man. He didn’t tend to say a lot, but when asked for advice, it was always sound and of utmost integrity. He leaves an admirable legacy to his family and friends. I will miss Ron a lot. Much love to you all.
I want to say how much I enjoyed the company of both Ron and Marion. It was always a pleasure to share a wonderful meal in their comfortable home. Ron was a kind and gentle man. I will miss him.
With love,
from Aase and family.

Great sadness to hear Ronny passed. We moved to Calgary in 1974 and needed an account in 1975. We discovered Corns Shier and Ron was our accountant until he fully retired from his basement office. Ronny and Merion were great friends. When ever I called my opening line was am I going to Jail yet? Lunch at The Gray Eagle buffet.?
Great memories !

So sad to hear of your dad's passing, your mom and dad were very special friends to our mom and dad and family! So sad they are all gone, but I bet they are having a great golf or curling game together, at the least a beer! Thinking of you all, Ron & Shelly Thomson (Horne)
