Condolences
Fond memories of "Howie" as a friend and cohort at Springbank High School. We were in a different grade but were all friends and we often did everything as a group. There weren't many students then! So sorry to hear of Howard's passing. His school buddies have not forgotten him and the happy times from many years ago. Rest in Peace, Howie. Condolences to his family. Judy and Jill (Harries)
Howard was a great guy that found his true calling alongside his mates at the Canadian Progress Club, Stampede City. Howard and I came aboard the club together in the 90s. He remained a dedicated club member for decades, helping raise considerable sums for the benefit of many local charities. Howard is pictured here proudly wearing his vest from the club he held so dearly.
Howard, your Progress friends, and all of Calgary, will miss you and your dedication immensely!
Years ago when Howard was on the farm he would invite me to bring my kids to see the animals. The kids were very young at the time and called him "Mr Howard". Howard was always very kind to us and loved to show the kids the farm animals. They loved seeing the cats, chickens and goats. In the latter years we kept in touch and he often asked how the kids were. He came and sat out on a few cold evenings to watch our son play little league baseball. He will be missed by our family.
