Condolences
Dr. Visvanathan was our family physician and friend for many years in Estevan. I remember going to see him for a routine vaccination before I went off to college and he took extra time to wish me well and give me advice on how to manage stress and take care of myself. I have thought of that advice many times over the years but our paths never crossed again. I am so sorry to see this news. What a fine man he was and what a legacy he leaves. My condolences to his family.
Sincerely, Drew Dutton

My sincere condolences on the loss of "Dr. Visvanathan". During my lifetime I have never had a more caring and better doctor. He was always such a gentleman and most importantly a great man of character. I know he was always greatly respected in Estevan when I was growing up and I never recall ever seeing him without a smile on his face. Wishing all of you peace as you mourn the loss of such a great man. He touched the lives of many and has left a great legacy through all of you.
Best wishes,
Richard Matchett
My first memories of Vishy go back to the late 60’s when he and his lovely wife arrived in Estevan. My wife, Joyce Holmgren, worked with him as a nurse. Nearly 50 years later we were reacquainted at the Y! Vishy was a wonderful and most respectful gentleman. The world was blessed by his life!
Prema and Ranga Ranganathan from Saskatoon: Dear Vishy: we will miss your bright smile and happy face. We had great times with you and Margaret in Regina. Our prayers for your soul to rest in peace . We pray that Margaret and the family get strength to face your loss. The good memories we have of being with you will give us strength. With Love and prayers from us to your family.
Dear Aunty Margaret and family,

Our condolences to his family and may the memories of this very special man help you through the sad times to come.
Dear Margaret and family,

“Forever Remembered”
Dr. Visvanathan or as some of us at the golf course referred to as KR was a true gentleman who treated those he met with kindness and respect. When he talked with you he did so in such honest and genuine way that you knew he was truly interested in the answers to questions he had asked. He welcomed me into his home as if I were family instead of just some neighbour hood kid. I offer my condolences at this sad time but take comfort in knowing how blessed they were to have him as a husband and father.
We have known Visvanathan uncle and Margaret only for a short while here in Calgary. But in this short time, we felt their love and kindness in the way only parents can give. Last year they invited our family for breakfast and Vishy uncle made these amazing waffles, which my teenage kids still rave about. He had this amazing quality of such deep warmth and compassion that is so rare these days. We were blessed to have been able to make some rasam and sambhar that he wanted to eat in his last days. We miss uncle and my deepest condolences to Margaret and the whole family.

I am sorry to hear that our loving London uncle passed away. My deepest condolences to the Aunty Margret, Kishore, Raman and Nandha families and their members. We all pray for him to reach om Narayan Narayana Narayana Shanthi hi. In India we will not celebrate any good events for 1 year by all family members those are associated with him. These 11 days no Puja , no temple visit and visit to family functions too. Here we follow our tradition in India ( Salem / Tamilnadu). And to my knowledge I have sent the message of our beloved uncle Viswanathan demise. May God give Healthy strength to all the family members. Namaskar and Namaste.
Vishy welcomed me into his practice in Estevan July1st, 1979 and we were partners for my eight years in Estevan. His knowledge and mature judgement were generously shared with me, particularly important in my early years. He had infinite patience and tolerance which I only fully appreciated when I introduced younger docs into my own practice in Regina in later years. He introduced me to the community where he was widely respected and gave me many invaluable tips over the years. He was a wise physician and a widely skilled surgeon. When I left Estevan to specialize, he was generously supportive of this endeavour. My condolences to Margaret, KIshore, Raman and Nandha and families. A true gentleman.

Nice and family loving person. With always smile in his face
We were deeply saddened to hear of Vishy's passing. He was a very special person, and a blessing to the people of Estevan. I remember that Vishy became my doctor shortly after he arrived in Estevan. He was a dear friend, and we certainly enjoyed our times together enjoying the north of Saskatchewan, the conversations of Canadian and Indian culture, and the camaraderie. We had many a good laugh along the way. We always enjoyed Vishy and Margaret's annual Christmas letter or email, with pictures of their large family, hearing about each and every grandchild, what they were doing and aspirations for the future.
Our condolences to Margaret and their family. He was a great person, "A Man for the World".

RIP Dr. Vishy. Ohm Shanti!,Ohm Shanti!Ohm Shanti!
Vishy was very special to the Crowfoot "Y" gang...whether when gathered for coffee and a chat after a workout, or pausing in the parking lot, or offering words of encouragement on the workout floor. A few years ago, Mike and I heard an unmistakable laugh along the trail at Johnston Canyon - it was Margaret. She and Vishy were out with their family to go for a walk and to celebrate his birthday. Quite a remarkable feat for Vishy and it was lovely to catch up for a few minutes.
It is us who are blessed to have known him in even a small way. The world will miss his smile and quiet yet confident way.
We are sadden to hear of Vushy’s passing. It must have been a struggle for all of you, who loved him dearly. Our deepest condolences. Vishy was a very special friend and I’ve always look forward to his bright eyes and big smile at the Y. He will be missed. Hugs Merion & Clint
We are saddened hearing of the loss of our special friend. There are simply not enough adjectives in the English language to describe the kind and wonderful friend, doctor and family man Vishy was. He was a great benefit to our community (Estevan) and our country. He and his smile and warm greeting will definitely be missed. Our thoughts are with you Margaret, and all your family at this very sad time. Lyle & Pat Cundall
Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Visvanathan family. Vishy was a father figure to us all when we were attending Medical/Dental school together. When he visited us in Saskatoon he would take us out for dinner. It was his way of keeping an eye on us all and an opportunity to share his infinite wisdom. He was always imparting sage advice and the one I remember: "put your patients first and rest will follow!" A kind and gentle soul with a big heart!
Deepest sympathies,
Raj and Gwen.
