Obituary of Simone Cecile Lorenz (nee Cloutier)
September 11, 1933 – Ponteix, Saskatchewan
October 14, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta
Simone Cecile Lorenz, beloved wife of the late George Lorenz of Calgary, Alberta, peacefully passed away on Thursday October 14, 2021, at the age of 88 years.
Simone is survived by her sisters, Bernadette Lauer of Surrey, B.C., Mariette Paradis of Edmonton, Alberta, Gisèle Cloutier of Calgary, Alberta; brothers, André Cloutier of Newton, New Jersey, Armand Cloutier of Ponteix, Saskatchewan, Denis Cloutier of Ponteix, Saskatchewan. She is also survived by many supportive nieces, nephews and extended families. She was predeceased by her beloved husband George, her parents Benoit and Amanda (Beauvais) Cloutier, sisters, Irene Matecha of Whiterock B.C., Cecile Zinter of Calgary, Alberta, Alice Forget of Swift Current, Saskatchewan; brothers, Roland Cloutier of Ponteix, Saskatchewan, Gaston Cloutier of Ponteix, Saskatchewan, Raymond Cloutier of Killam, Alberta.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 – 34th Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Lorenz’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Graveside service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Reception to follow at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB). Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
In living memory of Simone Lorenz, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area.
