Dear Janice this is a picture of me and my son James. Algis will be forever with us. His love for life and care for me when l was fired from the Fort Mcmurray school because of pronounciation by the principal of the school …a discriminatory situation . A battle that thanks to the encouragement of my Brother Carlos and Algis l won against the Fort Mcmurray board of education … by the way the principal that fired me lost his position as a principal…. And l remember that there was a game in basketball in that school after l was fired and Algis went to see the game and asked me to come with him. I didn’t want to go. I did not want to see the principal. Algis knew that he will support under that circumstance. So we went together. That type of support when l needed … when l was down. When l was so fragile. That’s why l consider his friendship and value it with all my heart. I lost your contact and just a week ago l found a postcard he wrote me and then l search in the internet for his name and l found his orbituary. I am just so sad … l tell you his smile and love for life … he has been a genuine friend throughout the years. He has always been in my thoughts and heart. When he communicated to me about having cancer. And when we share a place with Victor another teacher and three of us rented an apartment together and when we went for a run when it was -40 degrees and Algis will run ahead and return back just to encourage me to run. And the incredible moments we share together. Please send me a picture with all of you. I certainly will enjoy seeing his picture with all the family. Please write me at enrique.wonglinki@outlook.com Telephone 647-8196101. Please call me when you have sometime. Please convey my love to your Son and Daughter. I hope l have an opportunity to talk one day. And please convey my deepest condolences to his family too. I know that part of his family used to live in Hamilton. Love you … and your children. Enrique from Peru. I taught successfully for 31 1/2 years in Mississauga,Alberta and B.C. Math and Science and Special education like Algis.
