Condolences
I am deeply saddened by his passing. He always made me laugh and was a great manager. He always made my work day brighter!! My deepest sympathy to your family and friends. A good soul will be missed!!!
My condolences to Terry's family. I had the pleasure of working with Terry at Calgary Co-op. Such a nice and very kind manager. He will be missed
I was saddened to hear of Terry's passing. He was wonderful to work with or just chat with. He always made time.
My condolences to The Singer Family.
My deepest condolences and thoughts go out to the both Terry’s family and friends. I only had the pleasure of connecting with Terry a very few times before he retired from Calgary Co-op. My knowledge and understanding of who Terry was came more from the stories and history others shared of him than being close to him personally. Those who were closest to him described a man who was loyal and committed to both his family and friends. A man who would take the time to connect and also take the time to enjoy the moments in life that would put a smile on his face. The moments I did have with Terry had me admiring his ability to light up a room with his smile. Again my deepest condolences to Terry’s family and friends. Jason Boudewyn
Our deepest sympathy to Linda, Cody, Kelly and their families. Terry was our neighbor for a long time in Deer Run and I have many fond memories. I will never forget the way he always stood tall with a wonderful smile and was always soft spoken. Karen Webster and family
My condolences to Linda and the Singer family.
Terry was an incredibly caring, kind, funny, teddy bear who is going to be deeply missed. He wasn't just a boss, he wound up being a Co-op dad, friend, and mentor to so many of us within the organization. The support he would show for everyone was always noticeable.
I will treasure all the laughs, pranks, and stories we shared with tears in my eyes.
Carie Thomas
My deepest condolences to the entire family. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
I had the pleasure of working with Terry, and am thankful for the times I was able to spend with him.
He genuinely cared about people, and was a mentor to many, offering support and guidance to both staff and customers.
He was always available to provide support, offer advice, brainstorm a solution to a problem or just chat during our many Thursday evening phone calls and coffee meetings
He will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him.
I have fond memories of the times my cousin Terry and I would catch minnows in the Bow River and tadpoles when we were young. RIP Terry. You will be missed but not forgotten. My sincerest condolences to Linda and family and cousin Janet Davies and family.
My deepest sympathy to Linda and the entire Singer family. Terry had profound impact on my life and I'll forever be grateful that our paths crossed out in Strathmore. He pushed me to be better and to keep on learning, and he made going to work enjoyable every day. His corny jokes, random trail cam pictures and stories were always something to look forward to.
He was a mentor and friend to so many, and I count myself lucky to have been a part of that group. The world is a bit dimmer without him, gone way too soon.
Lisa Larson
My deepest sympathies to Linda and the Singer Family.
I first met Terry back in 2006 as a new meat manager with Calgary Coop, and in typical Terry fashion, our first meeting was over a 3+ hour coffee break at Tims. There I got to know Terry and all that was his passion. I knew right then, that he was one good guy, and we would get along famously.
I was honored and privileged to work with Terry on more than one occasion. Terry was one of my mentors and definitely one of my biggest supporters of me and my career. He never gave up on pushing me to the limits and then beyond.
Our friendship is one I treasured, and will miss the corny texts at all hours of the day, pictures of random trail cam pictures, and of course the cheesy moustache, the laugh, and the MAN, Terry.
He was a mountain of a man, with a heart bigger than the mountain, and a caring personality that will never be matched.
You will be missed by many, and the memories of our friendship will last within me for the rest of my life.
Thank you for being the MAN you were!!!
My most sincere condolences to Linda and the entire family!
I was fortunate enough to have Terry as a friend and colleague for over 20 years, his compassion and caring for all team members was one of the best! He will be truly missed by all for his warm welcomes, sincerity and infectious laugh. Terry will most certainly reside in my memories for all time as a friendly giant and dear friend. Thank you Terry for being all the conversations, honesty and compassion over the years!!!!
Deepest sympathies to all of Terry’s family from Jim, Barb, Chris and Marlene Craig.
My condolences and thoughts are with you Linda and the rest of the Singer family. I am heartbroken since Terry was a true friend who was a respected and loved man in the community. Terry was a mentor to all and whose generosity will not soon be forgotten. I will miss his practical jokes and his great story telling. A gentle giant whose presence, love and humor will be sorely missed. The world was a better place for having a MAN like Terry in it.
My deepest sympathy to you all. Terry was a wonderful man thoughtful, considerate, helpful, understanding and a true leader. I worked with Terry in Strathmore I will remember the quick rub of the hands and always had a half hug. He was a man who seemed to help everyone through hard times and I can only imagine how you are all just wanting him to help you get through this sorrow. Thought and prayers are with you all he will be missed dearly.
My deepest condolences to Linda and family. I remember the first day I met Terry. He was called back from holidays to become the Centre Manager at Hamptons. This tall man with the biggest beard I have ever seen became my friend, mentor and confidant. Over the years I worked with him in many different roles and always he was one of my biggest supporters. The world without Terry Singer in it brings tears to my eyes but I am richer for having known him and calling him my friend.
My sincere and heartfelt condolences to you Linda, to family and to the countless friends. I had the honor to know Terry for many, many years and I can say without hesitation that he was truly a man of honor, a person with a huge heart and genuinely, a really fun loving guy to be around. We didn't socialize outside of work very often but there was no need to as he made every moment count when we connected as peers within Calgary Co-op. If there was one thing that stood out for me personally about Terry it was when he stood tall and started to rub his hands vigorously together to which he did quite often. We knew then it was time for Terry to speak and speak he did by bringing to the table his expertise, his thoughts and valuable advice to which many of these methodical ideas helped mold Calgary Co-op through-out the years. Terry will be sadly missed but nature is calling him and no bigger canvas for him then where he is now.
I worked with Terry at the Hamptons Coop while I was in university in the late 1990’s. I can honestly say that he was one of the best managers I have ever had. He had a way of making every single employee feel special and heard, which is a quality I have only seen once since in my career.
We are sending our deepest condolences to the Singer family, and our thoughts are with you all.
Lisa Hurst, John and Harlow. Also sending his condolences is my dad, Jim Hurst who worked with him for many years.

My condolences to the entire Singer Family. Terry was my first CM at Calgary Coop. I had the fortunate privilege to work with him a few times in my career. He made me feel so welcomed to the Coop family. Terry once said that "once your one of his guys. You are truly one of his guys." He truly made me feel that way. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was one of the good guys. My thoughts and prays go out to all of you.
Dear Linda, Cody, Richelle, Kelly, Jonathon, Madelyn, Logan, Jett and Kenzie, Joan, Janet, Daryl, Steven, Valerie, Doug, and family, on behalf of each of Terry’s nearly 3,850 Calgary Co-op family / team members, I reach out sincerely to express our deepest condolences. Many of us knew Terry, some for many years, and he will always be in our minds and hearts as a kind, caring, community-focused, passionate and committed man. Calgary Co-op will forever be grateful for the contributions he made to building our cooperative, one member at a time, one team member at a time.
For me personally, I will always remember Terry for his continuous and consistent genuine support of the community, and yeah - for being the only man I knew who could go for a stroll in minus 25 degree weather in a shirt, no jacket!
Please accept our deepest sympathies, and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Kindest Regards,
Ken Keelor, Chief Executive Officer
Calgary Co-operative Association Ltd.
