Celebration of Life
Condolences
Lovely service Maureen, so glad our family could attend. There are so many good memories of your dad Hal. After his passing upon reflection there is one in particular that stands out. Hal and Jan always attended our annual June BBQ's in Canyon Meadows and I remember Hal upon arriving always saying to Jude and myself how lucky we were that it never rained on the day of our annual event and that gracious comment by Hal always stood out with us as Hal's kindness would shine through. Now I understand that our good fortune wasn't about luck or timing with the weather however it was Hal Murphy that brought "the Sunshine" to our BBQ's every year! With his wit, humour and immense knowledge of music we recall Hal sitting around our firepit, guitar in hand playing his vast playlist of old classics for us. He loved to entertain us all and those were truly special moments!
As he sits shining in heaven watching out for us all, we can now give cheers.
Rest in peace Hal Murphy, rest in peace.

We had known each other since our TCPL days starting in 1989 and have been friends ever since. He was such a talented musician and always gave us his warm and wonderful personality, I am going to miss you very much amigo. RIP play with the angels in heaven dear amigo. My Deepest condolences to his family and close friend. He shall truly be missed.
So Sad to hear of Hal's passing .When Hal lived back here in Ontario , I will always remember the guitar sessions we used to play when we got together . I have been conversing with Hal recently on Facebook , and was pleasantly surprised that he had kept up with his passion of playing guitar . We played hockey together , and against each other , and Hal was a great player , Rest in Peace Hal.
If tears could build à stairwell and memories a lane, we would walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again.

I am at a loss and heartbroken over the loss of my dear friend Hal. We’ve known each other for over 25 years and we always enjoyed a laugh and challenged each other on various opinions of current events. I’ll miss our banter and your keen fashion observations not to mention your great musical talent. God welcomes another angel. Carry on my friend.
So sorry to hear this sad news! Hal was a great friend for over 50+ years! I could fill a book with our experiences and life events we enjoyed. I will always remember Hal playing his guitar and singing his favorite songs. Condolences to all his family. Steve & Gail
