What an amazing service. Jim was an amazing man ! He was my boss for a long time and I admired him! He became my patient and that made me admire and truly love him even more. Such a kind , caring man. We had many laughs at the clinic. I wish there was more I could of done for him ! He always did so much for us , always saying pick up a cheque at the office for Lanes ( my son ) hockey team or helping us when doug had surgery many years ago. I will miss him so much ! His smiling face and laughter , telling me I’ll never change !! Very sorry to all of you wonderful Thororgood’s !

What a lovely service and such great memories of Jim! He played such a pivotal role in so many lives he touched over the years. He certainly was a mentor & friend to me. I have such great memories of the road trips I took with Jim all across Canada and into the US, on our many trips of discovery. The lessons learned from Jim have served me well. Rest in piece my friend.

Sharon and family sorry for your loss. Jim was an amazing man and always a joy to be around. He was very kind to our family. He was an inspiration and leader for the community, family and friends. I always remember him proudly touring my Mother and us on the back 9 of the Sundre golf course. It was incredible and lots of laughs. Whenever we asked advise, he always had great answers and created some good humour. Take care. Love Ann, William, Kari-Ann, Jason, Emma & Jack

Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Dave and I were both very fortunate to work for Totem and have such great memories. Dave & Trudy Corney
You always knew Jim was someone special - someone that would stand out in a crowd. He had a presence that drew your attention and yet he was also so approachable. His family - both those related and those that were his "work" family - knew that he considered them as the most important people of all. Leaders such as him are great role models for all of us. Our condolences to all his family members.

So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. Our sincere condolences to Sharon and family. I was fortunate to have worked for Totem for a number of years and benefitted from Jim as a mentor and a model of how to run a business and treat employees. Kathy and myself benefitted greatly through our Totem years. Jim treated his employees as family and received a great level of loyalty in return. I fondly remember our successful and rewarding times with the Totem gang - Rest In Peace JT.

Dear Sharon and all the Thorogood family,
We are so very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. While Jim's business savvy speaks for itself he was a kind and friendly man who truly understood people.
I considered Jim a friend and a mentor. We travelled with Jim and Sharon, his immediate family and his Totem family and Jim always made us feel welcome despite my reputation as being a poor golfer. He and his family are just "good people". We will miss Jim's warm greeting, his smile, his laugh, his friendship and he will be kept fondly in our memories forever. Chris & Sue Jones
Sheila & I have known Jim for over 45 years and are extremely saddened to hear of his passing. His friendship, kindness and gererosity will never be forgotten.

Jim you will be missed by all that had the pleasure of meeting you. I remember playing in the Ryder cup with you at Cochrane and after the young men laid a thumping on us on the front nine you somehow managed to get into their heads and we came back to win. Your generosity to the community and especially youth sports in the various communities will never be forgotten.
My condolences to your all of your family and especially Sharon, Ryan, Tara and Dane who I have had the pleasure to meet over the years whether at the store or the house or the Sundre golf course.
Rest in peace my friend

My life changed exponentially when I was first introduced to the Thorogood family and their friendship these many years and particularly Jim
It is truly sad in a world where family and friendship are often dismissed and a true leader of such believes has been taken from us all
Good night Jimmy and may god bless himself on you and Sharon and the entire Thorogood family
Change the heavens Jimmy for we pass by each other again
With respect
Dale
