Condolences
Our deepest condolences for your loss. Herb was a quiet soul but had a great sense of humour. Living in a small community we were able to spend some great times together and often reminiscence about those times. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
So many memories, but grateful especially for the time Herb spent at our house recuperating from his hip surgeries. Lots of early morning conversation over coffee, where we really got the chance to know one another. He was the family historian, a man who did things in his own way and on his own timeline. Goodbye big brother, with all our love.
Mary Ellen (aka "Meg" according to Herb) and family.
PS From an old Irish headstone: Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
We have very fond memories of the time spent with Herb around Ben and Leslie’s wedding here in England. It was so good to meet him and get to know him a little. We liked him so much. He had such a lovely quiet easiness that made people instantly comfortable in his company…..and he was so interesting to talk to. We thought he was a really lovely man, and would have loved to have been able to get to know him better.
We are so sad to hear of his passing, and so very sorry for all of you closest to him who will be feeling your loss so painfully. We send our love and sympathy to you all, both family and friends. May Herb live on through the happy and treasured memories you will all have of him.
With our love at this very sad time
from
Martin and Joanna Wilkinson (Ben’s Mum and Dad)
Anna (Ben’s sister) and Richard Binks, and their two boys Harry and Arthur.

Our deepest sympathy to you all our thoughts are with at this sad time
