Condolences
I met Rudy & Lue in 1991 when dating his brother Harry. Was extremely fortunate having them in my life over a long period of time. The barbecues, dinner parties...my family & dear friends sooo enjoying Rudy & Lue within their lives. Hold dear in my heart the unconditional love shown to everyone.
We came yesterday to pay our respects to ‘the other Rudy’, for a life well-lived, and it was good to meet sons Neil and Stanley. I first met Rudy in 1960 in Edmonton, and we’ve been occasionally in touch since then. We had a number of commonalities besides our names although when my father talked to Rudy’s mom in 1961 about possible family connections, they couldn’t find any. Dorothy and I visited Rudy and Lou here in Calgary, and more recently we visited Rudy at his Westman home. We discussed family genealogy of course. I called Rudy earlier this year and we tentatively planned a visit to our home but sadly that did not happen. Rudy and his family enjoyed a life full of rich experience.
Sincere condolences are wished to Rudy’s family, from the other Rudy and Dorothy Kaethler
We loved him at Westman Village. His sense of humour was his biggest asset. We will miss him dearly. ❤️
I worked with Rudy at Esso , 42 years ago.. sorry to hear of his passing
Rudy was a father to me; my children also loved him so much. His kindness, love and great humor will be missed, he will always live in our hearts.
Rudy was very dear to us. Our first house had a beautifully finished basement thanks to his handywork. From bike rides to pancakes, Rudy always had time for fun and we will miss him immeasurably! Brenda and John McInnes
Ever the joker, Rudy brought fun to any gathering. We will miss him. May his memory be a blessing.
Nikki, Rick, Zach, and Jordan
