Condolences
Dear Jonathan and Heather,
I was sorry to miss today's memorial for Peggy due to Covid issues but she has been on my mind. I first met Peggy in Ramblers back in late 1980's and we made a connection enjoying each other's company very much. Then I moved to Vancouver for 15 years so by the time I returned she was in Skrastins and we took some walks together. She was a lovely person, so kind and thoughtful and always thinking about how to accomplish social good in the world. I'm sure you and your families have wonderful memories.
With sincere condolences, Dee O'Brien, Calgary.
Dear Heather and Family,
Peggy and the Calgary Unitarians are forever joined in my mind. Her presence over so many years was a true sign of her steadfast commitment. At every visit home to Calgary I would always know she'd be there at the Unitarian gatherings.
As often happens, I've learned things from the obituary that were new to me. I'm particularly struck by Peggy's time in Europe after the second world war, another demonstration of her special character.
Best wishes to you and your family. May you have the support of kind & caring people at this time.

Dear Jonathan, Heather and your families; I met Peggy in the mid-2000's when I first joined the Unitarian Church in Calgary. She was a constant and welcoming presence to a newcomer! I was fortunate to participate with Peggy in some events outside of our Sunday services, and admired her caring and compassion for others, and her intelligent insight into some of the deeper mysteries of life. Truly a life well lived!
Peggy was a very special member of the Faculty of Social Work support staff. She was especially respected by our Dean, Tim Tyler, for her careful attention to detail and her writing skills. She was often tasked with proofreading and editing academic papers. It was a pleasure to read of her fulfilled life so many years after my last contact with her.
Heather, John and Family. Sorry to hear about your mom.
I remember when you lived next do to us on 33 Ave NW. Your mom was like a mom to us kids and always there if we needed anything or a good yelling at for some silly thing we were doing.
She will be dearly missed

Dear Jonathan, Heather and your families, On behalf of the Skrastins Outdoor Club, and myself I wish to send our condolences on the death of your mother, and grandmother. Peggy was a member of the club for many years, I enjoyed chatting with her on the bus, at lunches and other events. She was a lady of many gifts and rich experiences. Blessings to you all.
