Condolences
Sorry for my lateness in responding. This is Peter Kaczor, a retired English teacher, who was ably led by Larry as a principal in my first six years at Woodman Junior High when I first came to Calgary many years ago. My friend and former colleague Mike Male, a former science teacher at the same school, just informed me of Larry's passing. Larry Koper made a difference in my life as a new teacher in Calgary and always showed confidence and support in me which allowed me to learn and flourish, as he did with the rest of the staff, students and whole school. He was a great positive guy who will always have a warm spot in my heart.

Larry's smile and chuckle never ceased to make a day brighter. I went to the International Room yesterday to drink a silent toast to him. He was one of the first people I met when I discovered Peruvian Horses in 1991. His kindness was legendary. I will miss him. My sincere condolences to Donna and his family. He blessed us all with his benevolence.
My condolences to the Koper Family! As indicated in the obituary, I too will always remember Larry for his BIG smile, HEARTY laugh and GIANT bear hugs! He taught me what GOOD scotch is and to this day I often think of him when having a scotch! Rest In Peace Larry!

I have known Lawrence Koper my whole life. He and Janet were wonderful friends to my parents. The first person I called when Dad passed away was Larry and he came to Dad’s funeral for me, he’s also the last person to call me Cinders my nickname! Much love to all the family. Laurinda Flynn
To the entire Koper “Klan”, please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Larry. One of the highlights of my Rotary experience was seeing Larry on Thursday meetings. His cowboy handshake, look you straight in the eye greeting and infectious laughter would always be the most welcome beginning to my lunch. He was a friend and we all shall miss the good man he was.

I have been in Rotary with Larry for many years and I will always remember his sense of humour, his happy laugh and his willingness to take on any tasks. I will miss him and I know that he had a full and long life and enjoyed sharing it! My condolences to his family.

Larry was a dear friend and a wonderful Rotarian! I will always remember his kindness and caring. His beautiful, infectious laugh will be an enduring and happy memory. His smile graced all who knew him. We used to laugh about what his described as his 'fat but happy ponies'. We are all better people for having Larry part of our lives. He will be missed greatly!
I am sending loving and healing hugs to his family and thank you for sharing him with us ......

Kathy and family - please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your father Larry. I got to know Larry first as a Rotarian and then as a Stampede Volunteer. I always enjoyed seeing Larry mainly because of his easy going nature and ever present chuckle. He had an amazing life and enjoyed many interesting experiences. He was a stalwart volunteer at Stampede where we both had the opportunity to welcome visitors to the International Room at the Agriculture Building. I will miss him but will remember him with fondness.
