Condolences
It was fun thinking of the memories I have with Uncle Len, Aunt Inie (Inez) and cousins Alison and Jeff. My name is Shelley Bredin Crites and my mother and Aunt Inie were sisters. One in particular time I recall the Watts and myself (about 10 years old) were travelling to South River Ontario to visit my grandmother. We were travelling in an American Motors 1963 Rambler Classic with reclining seats. The reclining seats did not go unnoticed by me. Somehow I convinced Uncle Len to have Aunt Inie sit in the back with Alison and Jeff and myself in the front passenger seat. As we road along in the car I reclined my seat. Wow I felt so lucky.
Uncle Len was a quiet ,kind and gentlemanly man. You will me missed Uncle Len
My name is Wendy Vermeulen (Bredin) . Len Watt married my mom’s sister Iris Bredin ( Percival) . I fondly remember him as a quiet, humble and gentle man. A devoted husband and wonderful father. Always respectful of proud of his family. Len and Inez loved to travel and once took a cruise with my parents as well. He will be missed !
My name is Susan Percival Baas, and I was so fortunate that Len Watt was my uncle. I have so many fond memories. I was very small, but I remember quite clearly going to Calgary to visit the family and spending time in the mountains. My brother David and I, spent many a summer vacation at Uncle Len and Aunt Inez's cottage in Sundridge, Ontario with our cousins, Alison and Jeff. I realize what an undertaking that must have been to have four lively children in one cottage, but never once do I remember anything other than feeling loved. Uncle Len was one of the kindest men I've known. He was so intelligent, yet very humble, and listened to every word you said. My father, Aubrey Percival, was Aunt Inez' s brother. He often said that if he could have picked husbands for his sisters, he couldn't have done a finer job. This was very high praise, as my father was an extremely protective brother. Uncle Len, along with Aunt Inez and came to visit my mother when she was ill many years ago, and made the journey back when when she passed away. Three years ago they came all the way from Calgary for my father's funeral, along with Alison. We so appreciated this support. In conclusion, Uncle Len was one of the best and will be dearly missed. My husband, Steve, and I, pass along sincere condolences to Aunt Inez, Alison, Jeff, and their families.
