Condolences
On behalf of Lois Fisch and family, in memory of Bob Dykstra.
It is with heavy hearts we think of Bob's passing,
but with light hearts we think of the life he led.
He was a loving husband and father. He filled Lois's life with a happy home and many magnificent adventures.
He was a caring and helpful step-father to her children Sherryl, Gordon and Marty and their spouses and children.
Life is full of challenges. Lois is now at the 'Memory Lane' Alzhiemer's ward in Camrose.
When we talk of Bob she remembers a wonderful life together.

Bob was an uncle, friend and Mentor. When we moved to Cochrane to start a career for an oil company in 1974 we got to know them well. Bob & Alice had moved into there house in Dalhousie. We spent a lot of time with them and was around as the children were growing up. They treated us like we were part of the family. Bob and I went on many a hunting trips, goose hunting in Saskatchewan at my uncles farm. Elk hunting in Cypress Hills. Stampeder and Flames games. Calgary Stampede festivities. Family Reunions in Kelowna. A few Wobblies were drank. After Alice passed Bob met Lois and married we continued our friendship with them. Unfortunately we did not associate much with them as health issues made it hard for the past years. Bob will always have a place in my wife, daughter and sons heart and the memories will never be forgotten.
What an honour it has been to be first and foremost your friend and ally through the years!
We seen so many good times and relied on each other throughout hard times!
We laughed and always found the best in this world!
Will miss your common sense demeanour.
Love,
The Chimney Sweep
Thank you, Grandpa. Thank you for letting us dance on your feet, for wearing garbage bags to Stamps games, and for the lessons in hard work and integrity. Thank you for teaching us how to love our family and to be grateful in each moment. Thank you Grandpa for showing us we never truly say goodbye. What a blessing it’ll be to thank you on the other side. Until then my once oldest friend, I can’t wait to meet again.
Thank you Bob for a 30 year professional relationship grown on respect and trust. The pleasure was mine my friend, the gentleman.
