Jim and family:
We were shocked to learn of Gale's passing. In reading the obituary and the condolences we can see how Gale's personality interlocked so well with you. The humour in your conversation is always just below the surface and is something that you also excel in. Also, the quest for great food and fine vines. You made quite a team!
Please accept our condolences for your and your family's loss.

Where do I even begin, my heart is heavy and I send my deepest condolences to Jim, Heather, Kor, Devon, Violet and Alex. I first met my dear friend Gale in 1983 when she and Jim moved to Calgary. I will always cherish our friendship that spanned over 39 years. We travelled down many paths together and my life is better because she was it in. We first met when we were inducted into the Wine Pigs Society. We enjoyed incredible food, fine wine (ok, mediocre wine; we were poor) and grand friendship. We spent many Christmas Eve's together, Grand Marnier and Tourtier were always on the menu, not to mention the Tacky Gift Exchange. I still have a few "treasures" lurking in my cupboards. We enjoyed countless family gatherings, camping trips, tour of Newfoundland (Is it a bog? No it's a bog!), concerts and, of course, the infamous dinner parties. Gale had a quiet demeanour and a generous heart. As a true Newfoundlander, she was very compassionate would give you the shirt off of her back, or the best room in the house (as Liz and Ford did when we visited Mount Pearl), I still can't believe that the world lost Gale on Aug 24. Gale is soaring high in the heavens above, and will always be in my heart. Love always, Karen, Scott, Jennifer, Jesse, Oliver and Jaclyn
Our deepest sympathies to the Dunphy and Crewe families. Our thoughts are with you all. Love from the Pottle's, Clarence, Juanita and family, Clay and Lisa and family, and Amanda and Family.

Jim and family - so sorry to hear of Gale's passing. May your wonderful memories help ease the pain. She will be missied.
Jim my deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of Gale. Although it’s been awhile since our paths have crossed I have very vivid and loving memories of Gale. I remember the day you and Gale met each other and the fun times we all shared together in Newfoundland. Gale had the most contagious laugh and when she smiled her eyes sparkled. I wish my dear friend peace and you and your family the strength needed in the coming days as you say your goodbyes. Always remember how it felt to laugh with her and be loved by her. I hope those memories will bring you comfort in time.
I will forever remember Gale for the sweet, lovely person that she was.
Jim I wish you and your family peace to bring comfort, the courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart’s.
Keeping you in my prayers.
Love, Carol (Tucker) Ryan
