Obituary of Ethel Agnes Bruce (Wilson)

May 15, 1935 – Toronto, Ontario

August 29, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Surrounded by family from Calgary, the US and Ontario, Ethel passed peacefully in a place where she had very special memories. Thank you to Scott Bray for making this happen.

She was predeceased by her husband George, who she tirelessly cared for until his death in 2010.

She leaves behind her children, Sandra and Stephen (Lori); and her three amazing grandsons, Tyler (Kristen), Cody and Tanner. You all gave her life such meaning.

Ethel was truly blessed to have had a close and loving relationship with her sister, Joyce and her beloved brother-in-law, Bryce. She also leaves behind her special niece, Susan (Steven) and nephew, Kevin (Sharon).

Ethel was born in Toronto and spent her summers at Fairport Beach, where she had wonderful memories of friends and family. In 1957, she married George and they eventually moved to Oakville to raise their children.

Beyond family and friends, Ethel had several passions; reading, gardening/birds, cooking and entertainment, and of course her puppies Phoebe, Buster, Lucy, and Hershey.

Great thanks go out to the physicians and staff of the Rapid Access team at South Health Campus, as well as the Palliative Care team. You were all so very kind to her.

Ethel was a bright light, in life and even in her last days. She will remain that way to those who loved her and who will miss her dearly. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
