Dear Waghray Family:

Roger and I, while not knowing Justin, do know Derek and have a real fondness for him. We felt such sadness, knowing how heartwrenching Justin's passing must be to all of you. I attended the memorial yesterday virtually and was moved by the loving and heartfelt words shared by all. Justin was a remarkable young man who packed more into his short life than people twice his age accomplish. May the many fond memories of him help you through your grief.

I will never forget how welcoming Justin was when I visited him and Cristina in London. One of my favourite memories from the trip was when he baked some pumpkin seeds in the oven with loads of spices while Cristina and I carved the pumpkin. Even though there were many language barriers between us, he always kept a big smile on his face, trying his best to make me feel as comfortable and at ease as possible.

My biggest and sincerest condolences are with Justin's family and closest friends.

I had the big pleasure to meet Justin as a teammate.

He was so excited to start working with us that he reached out to me two weeks before starting. We began to chat even before joining and when he started and we were able to have a call I was really excited to meet him! We had so many things in common!

Soon he became a friend to me, you didn't needed that long to see him as a friend. We were chatting almost daily, having joint meetings, collaborating in many projects and tasks. I felt I could connect with him as a friend, not just a coworker. He was truly a team player, supporting everyone, being humble and brilliant!

He was so kind, always bringing his smile and positive energy with him! He is one of the few I've met who in every call was trying to dialogue with you, he was not there just for the meeting, he could connect with people in a unique and special way.

It was impossible not to like him, such an amazing individual to meet and to treat with him.

I learnt so much from him, and I can see how we was truly loved, and how he gave so much love, how he could make friends with everyone, without even trying, he just needed to be himself.

I can see how he lived life at its fullest! He gave 110% in everything!

We were able to meet in person at Madrid by end of June with the team. We were all excited to finally meet him, to share dinner and drinks with him. He was so excited, he felt so happy to be there with his team, same as we were! I will remember and treasure that day which I could share with him. My favorite part was when we he and I ate a lot of chocolates while talking.

He will be missed and remembered by the whole team and company abroad.

I will miss you Justin, my dear friend.

Ranjit, Derek, Miles, Cristina, and family, every single memory I have of Justin (Jayyyyy) is of fun, laughter and lots of sporting challenges, skiing, cycling trips often accompanied by wine/whisky tasting. We laughed so hard we would end up crying. He was one of life’s few genuine guys. Someone that was so incredibly, kind and patient, supportive. I’ll never forget the selfless way during the New Forest Tri you paused your race to sit with a women who had gone over her handlebars landing in a hedge with barbed wire. That compassion and care you showed a total stranger was you to the core.

Personally you encouraged, supported me to take on challenges I would never have managed with a patience and calmness that was unique and a humor that made it fun. As well as the ability to talk for 4hour training rides without stopping! Which for me struggling behind you, would just remind me, that it must 'be easy' J hasn't even stopped talking, while I'm there panting away behind. Then you would make me to a swim sea or a 'quick run' just to prepare. I loved training with you and even more sharing the laughs we had en route to events and post event celebrations. I used to hang out with Jay and drink beer in the Windsor Bar at business school. We would chat about lots of ideas for med-tech startups and innovation. He had such a bright and curious mind, and was such an easygoing dude with great energy to hang with. You will be missed my friend - the world needs more people like Jay in it.

My deepest condolences to Jay’s family. He has been an amazing friend and beloved teammate. We will miss him so much. May we all have the strength to live in his best memory.

Sadly, I hadn't spoken to Justin for many years before his passing, but was lucky enough to call him a close friend for almost a decade. I'll never forget his dry sense of humour, quick wit and immense generosity. My thoughts are with his family during this agonizing time.

These have been very hard days especially for Cristina, as a family we have turned to support her and try to cushion the emotional impact of the loss of a loved one as close as a husband.

I will always remember that Justin loved calling me and my sister "the goofy sisters". He had an amazing hability to connect with people. You could talk to Justin about any topic, from the dumbest thing to the most complex topic, so he could get along with any member of the family, from our niece to our grandma.

Though I did not know Justin well, I had heard a lot about him from Miles and Derek over the years! I remember, as a young person in my early twenties, meeting him for the first time; as a result of the stories I had heard, I was very intimidated by his intellectual prowess and, consequently, did everything I could to avoid entering into debate with Justin, as I knew I stood no chance! I had no reason to fear Justin, though, as he was never anything but friendly and kind to me. I also recall, years ago, I was using a running app to track my short jogs; somehow Justin and I connected on the app, and it was clear, by comparing my short and inconsistent jogs to his steady and methodical triathlete routine and pace, that his dedication spanned across all areas of his life. By all accounts, Justin was brilliant, driven, passionate, musically gifted, and a welcoming, warm-hearted and compassionate human being. It was a pleasure seeing and chatting briefly with him at Miles and Jaclyn’s wedding in May. He will be missed, and remembered forever. Sending my deepest condolences and all my love to Ranjit, Derek, Miles, Cristina, his dear friends and extended family, and all those who loved and were loved by him.

I fondly remember that Justin would always try to speak or say some words in Basque, he always made an effort and was interested in learning the culture of the places he would live in.

Justin was a special guy. I enjoyed our long chats when I injured my knee and was staying at his house for a bit. We would talk for several hours each morning until he would have to rush off to an interview. He packed a lot of living into his 36 years. For every book I read, he read a 100, for every mile I walked he ran a marathon. I am honored to have met him and deeply appreciate his warm and friendly welcome to me as Ranjit's friend. He will be missed by many.

Justin was one of the few people who was consistently kind to me as a kid. I always admired his intelligence and ability to absolutely shred on the guitar! I am glad to have had the recent opportunity to reconnect with Justin and have a wonderful, deep conversation. Justin had a positive impact on my life, as I’m sure he did with so, so many others. The world will miss him dearly.

I always looked up to Justin, I often asked him for advice about all kinds of stuff. I loved debating with him and always appreciated his keen intellect, kind heart and sharp sense of humour. I won't ever forget our time spent together and will continue to cherish our friendship for the rest of my life.

Justin was a really great brother to me. I remember when we were young he used to tell me I was his sidekick. He would always come up with goofy nicknames like "smiles" or "schmiley miley". He was at heart a real jokester, but he was also incredibly intelligent and relentlessly curious. His life will serve as inspiration about what you can achieve in life. He used to compete in triatholons/Ironman races, run marathons, went to London Business School, started his own businesses, mastered so many different instruments, and on, and on. He will be so missed.
