Obituary of Vukosava Krickovic

Vukosava “Seka” Krickovic, beloved mother of Dan Krickovic, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the age of 71 years.

Seka was born in Zagreb, Croatia on April 20, 1951. She moved to Cacak, Serbia in her early teens during the mid-1960s. She then immigrated to Canada in 1972, at age 20.

Seka graduated from the Socialist Republic of Serbia with a diploma in Nursing in Cacak, Serbia in June 1970. She married Branko Krickovic.

Seka was a member of the St. Simeon Serbian Orthodox Church, in which she was involved in helping other families with gatherings and events in the 1980s and 1990s.

Seka was a good, empathetic listener, but also straightforward with her thoughts on certain matters with others. Seka enjoyed nature, loved animals, reading books, watching movies and TV series, Sudoku and absolutely loved the sunshine. Seka will be most remembered for her caring and support for others where it counts.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Heritage, 1708, 16th Avenue N, across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park cemetery. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
