Obituary of Dawn Joanne Glines

March 18, 1941– Spring Valley, Saskatchewan

November 9, 2022– Calgary, Alberta

Dawn Joanne Glines passed peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Carewest Facility at the age of 81.

Dawn was born March 18, 1941, in Spring Valley, SK, where she grew up on a grain and cattle farm.

Dawn had many friends and loved a good laugh.  She was a dog lover and Mimi was the light of her life for many years. Dawn had a generous spirit and was always willing to help in any way she could. She was a hard worker for the Government of Canada in the tax department before retiring. She would work many hours on her own time to ensure the work was done to her high standards.

Dawn loved nothing better than getting together with friends and family for a delicious meal and conversation and spending time in her gazebo. She would often play her guitar at gatherings and sing her favourite country and western songs. She loved Elvis. Music was a big part of her life, and she played the accordion as well.

She will be dearly missed by friends and family who were touched by her generous spirit and love.

Dawn is survived by her sister Linda Ireland of Toronto, ON, and brothers, Pete Petruic of Vancouver, BC, and Geoff Petruic of Calgary, AB.

Dawn requested that there be no service or gathering. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
