November 18, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Marlene Viglietti, of Bragg Creek, AB, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the age of 88 years.

Marlene was born in Regina, SK, on August 25, 1934. Later in life, she married the love of her life, Frederick Viglietti.

Marlene was a very generous volunteer through numerous organizations, clubs, or being a leader of several Girl Clubs, wherever she lived. She was an active sports individual in her younger years, either as a cheerleader in hockey, baseball, football, or basketball, but she enjoyed playing golf, curling, skating, and camping.

She accomplished many things in her life, such as attending the University of Toronto night school to obtain her degree in accounting, where she made the Dean’s List.  Her career in accounting lasted for many years. Her passion showed throughout her life, her love of reading, her sewing, needlework, and the masterpieces she created through her quilting, which she was particularly proud of.

Marlene is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherene and Graham Crawford, and Catherine and Gerald Donaldson; brother Paul Nuttall, sister Gail Wilson,  stepdaughters and their partners, Nancy and Tim Kanuka, Donna and Megan O’Brien; stepson Gerry Viglietti, her five grandchildren, and her three great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Marlene was predeceased by her father, Harry Nuttall, her mother, Muriel Nuttall; Daniel Viglietti, son of Frederick; her grandson, Conway Crawford, and her husband, Frederick Viglietti.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
