Condolences
We regret being ill and unable to attend the Celebration of Life in person, though we are happy to have joined virtually. It was a beautiful, well done Celebration. We knew Michael later in life through Foothills Creative Beginnings. We did not have opportunity to know Michael well; we are honoured to have known him. We witnessed the ripples of joy and love from his remarkable life. We pray God’s comfort and peace upon Marie, children, grandchildren and friends.
In Christ,

Dear Coulson Family,
The first thing that comes to mind & heart is that I feel privileged to know you all. I know that this is great loss for your family and I hope that your best memories bring you the comfort your hearts require.
Michael’s enthusiastic energy infected every encounter I had with him. His ministry was positive and challenging, he inspired others to look at life from many different angles. He and Marie offered generous hospitality when I needed a place to stay and I enjoyed their company tremendously. Sending hugs and hoping all your wonderful memories will console all of “his girls” and your families.
Love,
Kathy (Beer) McAdam
There are so many memories of Mike and the women in his life and who made me feel like the 5th daughter/sister:-). From international slide shows of buildings/geography from around the world which I could not understand were of any interest at all to anyone, to his cinematography skills of the only vesper service with a movie in it (I get to be Mary for all eternity as long as that film survives), to the regular stop at Dairy Queen after church for ice cream--yes we had dessert before dinner. These are just a few of the many memories I will treasure.
Mike was always a kind, loving and gentle man adored by Marie and his four girls--Roz, Kate, Jenn and Julie. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and whose lives he touched. For those who never had the opportunity to meet Mike in person, his grace, kindness, gentleness and humour lives on in his daughters--truly an exceptional legacy for an exceptional man.
