My deepest condolences to Tim's family. Tim was an amazing person. He called into our office regularly but never missed December 10th every year to give us a visit as it was an important day for all of us. We found him to be such a kind and gentle man.He will surely be missed.

I don’t have any memories that predate meeting Tim and his family.
From the earliest days after my family moved to Calgary he would be a guiding influence in my life whether or not anyone knew it.
Our families began as simply neighbors but Tim and my father would go on to become (best) friends for nearly 1/2 century until Tuesday.
I always considered Tim to be a surrogate father, if ever I needed that influence he was always there.
A lifelong home baker, I fondly recall eating plenty of his breads and other creations, through him I also eventually took up this hobby.
He (and his 2 sons) would go on to be my high school rugby coaches for my senior year when the need arose.
Shortly after I joined them and dad playing for the CPRFC, at times there were the 5 of us on the field together at the same time.
Through my father and Tim I was helped to avoid serious implications of a poor choice of mine, learning a valuable lesson in the process.
A brief employer of mine when I found myself between jobs, had this not happened I’m not sure what I’d be doing today.
Tim has an untold impact on a surprisingly large number of my colleagues, quite a group of them found themselves employed at his company before finding further success elsewhere, so too can be said for a number of police officers I’m sure.
I didn’t see much of Tim as I became a father, life gets busy I’m afraid.
I will fondly remember my 40+ years knowing him and will miss him tremendously.
Deepest condolences to the family. I worked closely with Tim while at Co-op. I had a tremendous amount of respect for him and I admired him for the person he was. RIP.
Evelyn Dawson.

To the Lynn family - I’ve enjoyed Tim’s friendship and good humour at our annual Chenson Classic in Waterton over the past several years. He always had a good time and we all enjoyed his comraderie.

Wow! What can I say that will take away the pain of the sudden passing of your dad. I have great memories of working for, with and around Tim. Greatest basketball coach in the world, well maybe not - but we had a great time playing.
A man taken too soon and the heartache for your mom and family will stay way longer.
Janice, yourself and your family are in my wife’s and my prayers. Not just lip service, but genuine prayers for comfort and solace. Please pass that on to your mom.

Tim is the father of one of our best friends Paul, Paul is an incredible man, father and friend He learned from the best.I know how much Paul respected his dad .Paul always spoke so highly of his father, and I know they shared a special relationship with their love of family , sports and visits to the pub .Our thoughts and prayers are with you all xo Christine Caissie
Our families have been forever joined since becoming neighbors in 1978. From the eyes of a child he had to be great man, because he was my father's best friend and that was enough for us. He earned our trust, love and admiration. He had an undeniable impact on every occasion with his towering presence and humor, treating us like family. I remember Tim licking my popsicle, trying to teach me sharing but only making me cry. Twenty years later, Tim, Ukrainian dancing at my wedding evoking a different tear to my eyes, pride in knowing him and him being there. A larger than life man who was as big as his heart. Sláinte Tim.
My deepest condolences to Janice and the family. Tim was a great husband, father and friend. I’ve had the pleasure of being a friend to Tim and his family for 43 years. He was the senior one of the 3 Amigo’s - Tim, Pat Tuttle and myself. Our friendship started when we all lived on the same cul-de-sac in Ranchlands Estate. For many years Tim organized our block parties for all the kids & adults which were always a great success. The three of us spent many hours on each others patio trying to sort out the world problems.
Great memories over the years going to stampeder & flames games, weekends at our cottage at Sylvan Lake and trips to Mexico an US.
Tim love to host BBQ’s on his back deck for family and friends. Never a shortage of food. He had a great sense of humour and compassion. Thank you Tim and Janice for the many years of support that you have given me. You’ll be missed at our Wednesday coffee club an Friday afternoon beer session.
I will miss you friend. Cheers Amigo

My deepest condolences to everyone. Tim was a great man and served his family and the citizens of Calgary.
I pray the Lord gives you all strength in this time of great loss.
AMEN
Janice and family,
My deepest condolences on your loss. My thoughts are with you all.
While only having the privilege of meeting Tim at a few family get-togethers, he seemed bigger than life- funny, wtty, compassionate, and most of all, memorable. I respected him a great deal, and still do, as he is still with us, always in our hearts...
Rod Potter ( Brother of Tim Potter/ Teresa)
Tim was a very special person. He was an outstanding leader with a strong catholic faith. He served the Lord and the citizens of Calgary with distinction. I am a retired Crown Prosecutor and can attest to his leadership of a tremendous team of detectives he lead when he was in charge of the Robbery Section of the Calgary Police. Many serious and complex robberies were solved by that team.
Tim rarely missed attending mass and it was always a pleasure to see him at the 5 PM mass at St. Peters .He always took the time to shake my hand and say hello. I will miss that visit.
I will always remember visiting Tim at his home and admiring the statue he had in the back yard that he "hauled all the way home from Arizona. "
Thanks Tim for taking me as your guest to the retired policeman's luncheon. I still have the golf shirt and hat I purchased there.
Rest well Tim. GARY BELECKI K.C.
