Condolences
It was a great pleasure to meet Norm and Dulcie in Beijing. We had a great laugh during my Birthday celebrations and continued the friendship with dinners and shared Chinese cooking classes. It was Dulcie’s warm charm, adventurous spirit and true love of her husband, family and friends that led us to name our own baby girl after her ! Dulcie always enjoyed living and it was a delight to see her last August. She was remarkably strong and very excited about the upcoming family gathering in Canmore. We remember her with love and fondness
Best wishes to all the extended family and friends

We met Norm and Dulcie in 1991-92 when we were all living and working in Beijing, and they were wonderful friends. Dulcie was always outgoing, positive, curious and cheerful, excellent qualities for dealing with the challenges of daily life
in a foreign culture. Our daughter is named after her, and we are blessed to have known them.
Pat, Laurie, Ron, Brent and families:
Laurie, many thanks for reaching out. Judie and I are saddened with the passing of Dulcie - the last remaining Grantham cousin with whom I maintained contact. We had a special bond.
The last we saw the 4 of you was when we lived in Edmonton from 1982 to 1986 and attended a couple of weddings. Since then we maintained annual updates and the occasional phone call with Dulcie until the passing of Norm.
The last time the Granthams and Spices got together was their visit in 1992 when we were living in Copenhagen and they were posted in Beijing.
We regret not being able to join you on Saturday to celebrate Dulcie's life - the service is at 5PM our time and unfortunately we have a prior commitment.
Judie's and my thoughts are with all of you.

Dulcie served as a Knox United Church Pastoral Care Zone Captain in the area where I live and so each month we enjoyed tea together as I passed along news from my pastoral visits. She was a truly lovely lady. I do remember her often as I bake up her shared recipe for the :”World’s Best Ever Cookies”! Norm’s recipe for turkey dressing is also in my recipe file! Knox United surely missed Dulcie and Norm when they moved back to Calgary to be close to famiy. Rest in Peace, Dulcie.
With sympathy,

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Dulcie. She was so a special lady, always giving of herself and friendship lovingly.
I will always have happy memories of quilting with her at the Parksville guild, and sharing faith at Knox.
Reunited with Norm,
God's blessings
Carol
Dulcie (and Norm) were good friends to me during my 20 years as the Minister of Knox United in Parksville, where they were both active members. Dulcie--as a part of our Pastoral Care team--had a tremendous heart for people, especially those in need. She was a true blessing!
Most sincere condolences Pat on the loss of your mom. Know that you, your family and all those who will miss your mom will be held in my heart at prayer. Blessings, Sister Ruth Kelly RSM
Dulcie was a beautiful lady and will be missed by many. She was the matriarch of an exceptional family and filled that role with grace, dignity, enthusiasm and pride. Dulcie was always up for an adventure! The Spice family and Allan family grew up together in Calgary after Laurie and I met in 1964, and remain friends to this day. All of us will remember a great number of fun times over the years as a rowdy group of 12. Our hearts go out to all the Spice clan but know that their incredibly tight bond and beautiful memories will give them strength and support. Rest in peace lovely lady and give Norm a kiss from me!
Judy, Bruce, Gord and our families join me in sending our love to yours. Always, your Dine ❤️
