Obituary of Clarke Joseph LAMONT

October 7, 1940 – Calgary, Alberta January 11, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, Poppy, and treasured friend, Clarke Lamont On Friday, January 11, 2019 at the age of 78 years. Clarke was predeceased by Pat McCallum Lamont the love of his life for 48 years. Clarke and Pat met while attending school at the University of Montana. It was in Montana that he met many wonderful lifelong friends. Upon graduation, he went on to have a successful career in oil & gas then as a stock broker, which paved the way to become a prominent, successful business owner for over 40 years. His greatest pride were his sons, Dave, Doug and his daughter-in-law Molly Lamont. Clarke enjoyed talking about their many accomplishments and time spent together reminiscing over the memories they created together over the years. Clarke loved the time that he was able to spend with his amazing grandsons Nolan and Greyson, he cherished watching them grow up. As an avid car enthusiast and collector since his teenage years, Clarke treasured the many lifelong friendships he developed through his passion for cars. He enjoyed spending winters in Arizona as this afforded him the time to spend with his family and his cars. In the summer months he loved golfing with his group of guys at the Willow Park Golf and Country Club. He was so grateful for Pat’s sisters Bonnie Parks and her late husband Gord, Beth and brother in-law Alex Tutschek, and Clarke’s nieces and nephews for all the cherished memories and the love they provided him throughout the years. Family also wishes to thank the hematology Unit 57a at the Foothills Medical Centre for the wonderful care provided. Funeral Services will be held at Anglican Parish of Christ Church Elbow Park on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM.
