Condolences
I was able to watch the livestream of the memorial service for Norma and although I never knew her (I sang with Kim in Revv52) it was clear that Norma lived a full life and was such a wonderful person to all who knew her. Your tribute was beautiful Kim and the participation of her grandchildren in singing and reading was done with such love. My heart goes out to all of Norma's family and friends grieving her loss.
Dear Bud, Darren, Kim and families,
Deepest sympathy to all and I am grieving with you and for you. Felt so sad when I didn't get to see her at Christmas time as I wished. Not only were we related but we were also friends. She always put on a happy face and tackled any problem with grace, zest and wit. She fought a good fight after her cancer diagnosis years ago. I have so many good memories, and may God bless all your memories of her as well.
Love Elsie
I am very sorry to learn of your mom's passing. I'm certain you'll all miss her so much! Though I had not met her, the tributes speak of your mom having a wonderful cheerful attitude! Her loving presence will live on in the lives of her family. Donna W. (Revv52 a few years ago)
I met Norma at a chiropractic clinic where I was the office manager. She was a ray on sunshine and was often the highlight of my day whenever she and Bud came in. She would always give me a big smile and tell me she was 127% every time I asked her how she was. After I left the clinic to another job, we would call and text each other. We even had a lovely visit together. Two weeks ago she called me and we had a little laugh and cry together and I prayed for her unaware that it was her final goodbye. I didn’t know she had passed and on Tuesday I left her a voicemail singing happy birthday and wishing her the best birthday ever. I didn’t know at the time but she was indeed celebrating her best birthday ever, her heavenly one. The news of her passing broke my heart. She was very special to me and to many others. Some people just grip your heart and when they leave, they take a piece. I’ll miss you dearest Norma, but I am happy you are no longer in pain and your body is at peace. Enjoy heaven my friend! I’ll see you again!
I am truly and utterly devastated to learn of your loss
I met Norma in 2008when I had just found out that I had CLL. Leukemia and we were in Tim’s she was a great support for me as she had similar .As I was still independent we would meet at Tim’s almost every day .So we have been great friends for about 15 Years .Norma you are in my thoughts always .Much Love and Prayers for all Norma’s Family and Friends. Love you Norma !
I met Norma at Tim Hortons. She had a group of friends that she met there every Thursday. She had an amazing outlook on life and let nothing stop here if she wanted to go somewhere. I was even impressed how she would show up at Tim while receiving chemo and radiation treatments! You would never know she was getting treatments because she always looked well dressed and positive in her conversations. She will truly be well missed by all her friends! Condolences to the family!
Going to Calgary and staying at the house for as long as I can remember was always looked forward to by me and Diana my wife as well. From early in life about in home hardships my favourite Aunt reached out to my siblings and I if we wanted to talk to her in letters and the same as I moved through adulthood she was always a source to confide in even through her health issues.
The ongoing entertainment in the house while visiting was the sharp-tongued conversation and cut/downs provided by her and Uncle Bud to each other and these will be my recurring memories the rest of my life
Our condolences and love,
Diana and Rod Van Horn
as well Felicity and Dillon
