Obituary of VAN RUNT

May 2, 1967 –Davenport, Iowa September 7, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Melody Van Runt of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully at Foothills Hospital on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the age of 51 years. Melody was born in Davenport, Iowa, USA. She grew up in and called Calgary home. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and cousin. From the beginning to the end she was a loving and caring mother that always put her children before herself. She made sacrifices that most mothers would; she was a fighter and a forgiver, a lover of all animals and a believer of God, an angel that fought for many years to make us strong. She watched us grow up and get jobs and become successful in life. She now watches from the stars above in the morning and night sky. She is a beautiful angel that has spread her wings and flies free from the aching vessel of the body that she leaves behind. We love you mom, a piece of you will always live inside our hearts. Melody is survived by her children Malissa, Sarah, Matthew; sisters, Pamela, Annette, Jeannette and brother, Ron; husband, Miles. She will also be lovingly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 4:00 P.M at the Meikle residence ().
