Condolences
To Al (and family),
My heartfelt expression of deep sadness to you on the passing of Buddy. I had the honour of working with both of you for some years with Weight Watchers. Then and after, Bud always remained a wonderful mentor, calling me toward new possibilities. Seldom does a 'boss' also become a friend. But Bud's warmth and compassion invited me into that place. I am so grateful to both of you Al. The crossing of our paths since 1969 enriched my life tremendously. Bless you for your enduring journey with Buddy.
Sharon also sends her warm regards.
Buddy and Al have been incredible supporters of the health of our community through the University Hospital Foundation for many many years. Your support of research into Alzheimer's disease and the purchase of life-saving equipment over the years is fondly remembered. Thank you for leaving such an incredible legacy. Our heart goes out to Al and your families during this difficult time.
Rest in peace Buddy!
I never met Buddy or spoke to him on the phone. However, I felt that I knew what a wonderful person he was from the stories that his partner Al Osten tell me. RIP Buddy, you will be much missed.
Though I never met Buddy in person or spoke to him over the phone, through the stories about him I heard from Al Osten, I feel like I knew him. RIP Buddy you will be missed.
Dear Buddy,
I never met you, but my mother JoAnn would want me to write this. She might be better known to you as Jo Craig of the Rhythmettes, a doo wop group who knew the Rover Boys many years ago. I have known your name since I was a little girl and first looked through the scrapbooks of that exciting time in her life. She would tell me great stories of those days and about all of the people she met; always you were described as such a dear, kind person who loved to laugh...I feel somehow as if I know you. I want you to know that she never forgot what a wonderful person you are and had a special place for you in her heart, even until she went home to be with the Lord at the age of 89. Now that you have gone there too, I hope you will be able to say hi and catch up, maybe sing a couple of tunes! It makes me happy to think of that because I know it would mean so much to Mom, as she hasn't seen you for such a long time. May you rest well as all of the beautiful memories of your life here are restored to you now in your perfect health and bliss. God bless.
Love,
Jane Hunyor

Dear Buddy...so sorry.... more so that I haven't seen you for so long....my loss. We were good friends beginning in the late sixties. My wife Judy was a great fan of weight watchers and all of us were great antique hunters. The antiques helped with the friendship, and the friendship helped save me from a life of alcoholism. I have always been grateful for that help Buddy and I was proud to let people know that you were my savior. I am sorry we loss touch in the last few years .There were many times that I put off that phone call connection and I'll have to live with that. I am so grateful for the friendship we had and I will miss you. Much love, Cliff Williams
Dear Buddy,
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Dear Buddy,
You are sorely missed and fondly remembered by me. Your friendship, which spanned more than fifty years, will always be cherished, and indeed was by Elaine and me. You cajoled me in attaining my "Goal Weight" for which I'm grateful and, after that we had grand conversations over lunch or during our noon-hour walks solving the world's problems (but in truth, usually my problems). I'll miss you as a friend and a neighbour.
I know you wished to die in your sleep - which you did peacefully and at home in your own bed. God's speed Buddy....
Your friend,
Bob Hutchinson
