I never knew anything about American football, until I meet James. He enlighten me with his magic smile and we had fun at the play ground. He was an amazing kid and his memories with my kids and family as a whole will remain with us forever. Stay alive in your new world James.

I am deeply saddened to hear this news; I had a hard time reading the beautiful obituary for James. My oldest son is eight, also born in 2015, so I could not imagine what you are going through; we need to treasure every moment with our children. I never got to meet James, but he seems like he put one of those sparks into the world we all need. From my family to yours, we offer yours our deepest condolences.

My condolences to you on James’ passing. Caring for James was a privilege and an honour. I’ll always think of James when I have a slurpee - he was right.. 7/11 really does have the best kinds! I appreciated his spunk when I wasn’t doing something “just right”, or if I was taking too long to get him back to bed. He often made me laugh with his very honest conversations and comments. He was so fierce, resilient, caring and brave… I felt so honoured to give him back rubs to comfort him, and spend my lunches with my little side kick having dance parties. I remember James telling me about your trip to the west coast, and how much he loved his sister. His love for his family was palpable. To Miss Lainie: I’ll never forget our dance parties and the incredible manicures you gave. I hope on the days when you feel sad that you can turn on some music and dance your heart out (I know I will).

James made an immediate and enormous impact at everyone at KidStrong. From the coaches to his teammates

He was the strongest little man I have ever met. I remember one day he had treatments and still came to class to crush a class with his sister and mom cheering him on in the audience.

I am honoured to have met him and he will be incredibly missed. Our hearts go out to the Lipowy family. We love you all
