Obituary of Sharon Gladys NAIMISH

June 13, 1931 – Portage La Prairie, Manitoba August 1, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Sharon Naimish beloved wife of Victor Naimish of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Sharon was a kind, gentle woman with a heart of gold. She never hesitated throughout her lifetime to help anyone or anything. She obtained an MSc in Biology at the University of Manitoba and worked at the Medical College for several years doing research. Sharon then married and had her daughters, devoting her life to her family and volunteering. Sharon was an avid member of many clubs throughout her lifetime where she received numerous awards including a lifelong blood donor award “Certificate of Service” from the Queen of England. She was a lifelong member and volunteer with the Girl Guides Canada, a long term Volunteer at Heritage Park specifically in the quilting pavilions, and was also a member of “El Groupo”-Spanish learning group. In her spare time when she had it, Sharon had a passion for cooking. She was way ahead of the curve learning and making multi-ethnic dishes. She loved travelling around the world, spending time with her precious family and was a prolific quilter and loved guiding in her earlier years. Throughout her lifetime, Sharon was exceptional at learning and was an avid reader. Sharon is survived by her daughters, Mary Naimish of San Diego and Ann Naimish (Ron Garneau) of Calgary; her grandchildren, David Ambagtsheer and Michael Ambagtsheer of San Diego and Scott Garneau and Alana Garneau of Calgary. Sharon will also be lovingly remembered be her friends as well as numerous extended family. A Celebration of a life well lived will be held at a later date.
